This house is really cool. I want to be an interior designer so I love looking at different styles of homes. This definitely isn't my personal style but it's pretty cool. For me I prefer a more comfy home but there are many things I love about this one & a few things I'm not a huge fan of. But the one thing that really caught my eye was the second floor hallway. I think with the open layout of the main floor & outside view it's really cool to see the whole thing from upstairs with the glass/transparent walls. I just really love that feature but I don't think it would work for any old house though.
I hate to make 1000 steps from kitchen to dining area and then 1000 steps to the living room and 1000 steps to the bedroom and another 1000 steps to the bathroom.
I hope in the future I’m successful enough to be able to afford this kind of thing. Imagine living there and at night you can admire the view and just live in the moment blocking out all the stress and worries. That’s the kind of life I wish I had 🥺🥺

I had a relative who had a penthouse apartment like this near the Grand Walkerhill resort in Seoul. It was shocking to see (this was in 1997) back when the average houses was like 30 pyong or smaller. He owned a factory that made stuffed animals for TY (beanie babies), FAO Schwartz (before they went bankrupt) and Macy's. His balcony, which wrapped around the property and was made of marble, was larger than my tiny 12 pyong officetel in Yoido, lol.
Am an architecture student (final year) and a few things irked me about this BUT MAINLY THE FACT THEY HAD A BATHROOM OPENING DIRECTLY INTO THE MAIN SOCIALIZING SPACE. Not sure it is possible unless I got a hold of the plans but I wish it could have opened out into the hall. Lots of other tweaks but every architect knows a design never is done lol 😂

I had a relative who had a penthouse apartment like this near the Grand Walkerhill resort in Seoul. It was shocking to see (this was in 1997) back when the average houses was like 30 pyong or smaller. He owned a factory that made stuffed animals for TY (beanie babies), FAO Schwartz (before they went bankrupt) and Macy's. His balcony, which wrapped around the property and was made of marble, was larger than my tiny 12 pyong officetel in Yoido, lol.

Am an architecture student (final year) and a few things irked me about this
BUT MAINLY THE FACT THEY HAD A BATHROOM OPENING DIRECTLY INTO THE MAIN SOCIALIZING SPACE. Not sure it is possible unless I got a hold of the plans but I wish it could have opened out into the hall. Lots of other tweaks but every architect knows a design never is done lol 😂

such a beautiful home.. one day I dream of having a house just like this, I really want it in either South Korea or New York but in my opinion New York isn’t really a cheap place to be, but in korea I could say the same but the thing is the interior design is just outstanding and you could never find anything designed like this in America. Even the baskin Robbins is fully designed then the ones in America.

Am I the only one here confused with the layout?? Wouldn't say no to it if it was given to me for free but I feel like so much of the space goes wasted areas such as the kitchen or the bathroom on the second bedroom feel cramped. I don't know... maybe this is more of like an entertainer's or business person's house, needing tons of space for common areas, such as living room, dining room while leaving the spaces not seen by guests kind of like ehhhhh... Also why the heck the two closets in the master bedroom differ so much in size?, kk i know ladies have a lot more clothes than men bluh bluh bluh (such a stereotype...) but like the one is like Jamie Chua big and the other one is like oh I got some money so I built a walk-in closet. Anywayyy
Also I have no idea it might be a traditional decoration but what is this thing on the ceiling surrounding the area of the grey sofas? kinda looks like those type of cages you would see on cartoons pulled up by ropes in the air and when the animal would come under it, it would fall and trap it... lol sorryyyy
The same that I was thinking of. What is that cage doing on the lamp? I don't know if maybe at nights the view is different and has something to do with the lamp on. And also, a lot of space is empty. At first I thought it was mainly for partys but it has 3 bedrooms, so... I don't know.
Same feeling. The kitchen of such a big apartment is cramped under the staircase. What a waste!
I believe it's an Asian thing. Notice how all the furniture also seems a bit lower than what we're accustomed to in the West? They generally prefer smaller living areas, and although it seems like wasted space, it is a bit more practical. Things are more immediately accessible. Requires less effort/walking/reaching, etc.

멋진 공간이긴한데 미술관 오픈 전, 작품이 걸리기 전의 풍경같다.작품도 몇개 없는 미술관에서 매일 잔다고 생각하면. 청소, 빨래, 식사 관리인 5명도 모자라겠다.
