When the new blade runner came out ppl were trashing it as long and boring, I was at the edge of my seat the entire time absorbing this visual masterpiece
Right !! People switch up which is normal but I will never forget people saying it was slow and boring.
I’m a sucker for movies that make me wonder what the protagonist is thinking. This movie was top notch in that.
At least it's not the new batman were even the visuals suck on top of it being boring.
It was never made for common folk. I watched it in one sitting, I'm actually feeling nostalgic to watch it again.
It's one of the most visually beautiful movies. Villeneuve has done the same with Dune. He's an artist

The director of 2049 already said he wanted a new sequel but seeing the box office results of 2049, he just abandoned the idea due to the lack of interest in this kind of movies from the general audience. It's sad :/

It would be cool to see another story based in that universe, maybe not about blade runners per say though.
That beginning scene, although it doesn't really mean much to people who haven't seen the film, really hits you right in the feels when you have, because it shows that the love he had with JOI (pretty sure that's her name) was never real and that she never cared for him. K was always alone.
Yeah i watched the movie not too long ago...that scene is a punch of the balls for everything that had happened

I don’t understand how people didn’t appreciate this movie for its story and build up. If anything I wanted more.
I still haven't seen it. To be honest I didn't understand the 1982 blade runner, so I had no interest in seeing this. however I've been seeing good edits based on this movie so I'm gonna try and revisit the 1982 version and watch this one right after.
Movie was truly ahead of its time just like its predecessor was for its own time.
Glorious masterpieces are not for everyone to understand because it goes way beyond they can comprehend.
