The moment It really happened for me was in the Endeacor/AFO fight, when Endeavor drags him through the ground and AFO mocks him for also destryoing futures. Endeavor doesn't deny it. He calmly acknowledges that he has broken things far abpve his ability to repair and that all he can do now is give everything for a better future, because the past will never die. And I liked that Natsuo still decided to turn his back on his father. Some things _can't_ be fixed. Endeavor will now spent the rest of his days, slowly watching his eldest son die and then probably live a quiet, fairly removed life alone, or maybe with Rei, She seemes... open to a second chance. The fact that it is very clear that at the end, Endeavor does not _expect_ anyones forgiveness, but just excepts any choice they make is what really cements his "redemption" for me. In the beginning, when he was constantly trying to reach out to Shoto, I was annoyed with him, because, _he doesn't have that right._ And by the end he understood that what he did can't really be 'atoned' for. Touya still became Dabi. Dabi is still dying. Shoto still underwent years of torturous traing. Rei still had a violent nervous breakdown. Natsuo and Fuyumi were still neglected. Nothing he says or does now changes those things. And when he accepts that, it'll give his family the options they need to heal. They can tell him what they need or don't need from him, which will be different for each one of them.
