Excellent ideas! Thanks for sharing. Although I can’t afford that particular laptop, it is definitely one of the best backpacks I’ve ever seen! But, all of the other items are definitely things I need to make sure I have before going to Japan.
+1 for the Peak Design gadget bag. My favorite, personally, and I've been through a ton of gadget bags. Expensive but worth it. I can fit my 20k battery backup in that zippered side pocket on mine and it frees up backpack pocket space. I was liking your backpack but yikes... muy expensivo.
$389 for a backpack!!!!! Id hope it sprouted wheels and drove you to the airport for that. PS The European one won't work anywhere in Europe. UK / Ireland for example.

IMHO if flying in coach bring the mini, if business/first class bring the Pro. The 12.9 is a tight fit in coach when someone leans back.

If your going to be taking your laptop, then no need for an iPad with a keyboard on it, just the mini, travel light, and enjoy your trip.

Definitely leave the iPad with keyboard at home. It’s a weird product nowadays. Even more so when you own multiple apple products.
