- 3 Idiots is a 2009 Indian Hindi-language coming-of-age comedy-drama film written, edited and directed by Rajkumar Hirani, co-written by Abhijat Joshi and produced by Vidhu Vinod Chopra.
The film stars Aamir Khan, R. Madhavan and Sharman Joshi in the titular roles, marking their reunion three years after Rang De Basanti (2006), while Kareena Kapoor, Boman Irani and Omi Vaidya appear in pivotal roles. Narrated through two parallel dramas, one in the present and the other set ten years in the past, the story follows the friendship of three students at an Indian engineering college and is a satire about the social pressures under the Indian education system.

I just watched this again on Netflix. Even after all these years, it still makes me cry and make me laugh my heart out. Truly a masterpiece! And the message it conveys is just as relevant as it was years ago and until this time and surely, for more years to come.

I was studying in class 10(In 2010) when I saw this movie for the first time in Nepal . A friend of mine told me that a film has released called 3 idiots which has become a huge hit. I have the DVD cassette and had to watch it today. And we watched it at night sitting at his house and really liked it. It has been my absolute favorite movie ever since that day.When I watch this movie , it reminds me lots of memories of past life. It will always be the best movie till my life. I like that they did not dismiss people who studies hard like chatur. He did not fail, he achieved success in his career by studying hard. Its just so happen that wangdu became more accomplished than him with his love for engineering. The lesson here is not avoiding engineering/technical courses but finding happiness through your own way. Watched this movie years ago and now I am an engineer. Sure there are hard times but in the end, my future success story won't be the same as yours. Keep on struggling my friend and may we find happiness along the way.

People talked about it so much online that it reached a lot of people and became a cult classic here. I really loved seeing it in the original language it was more heartfelt that way oh and that opening song was amazing! When I play "Behti Hawa Sa Tha Woh" it still feels as magical as the first time Ive heard it.❤

In Tamil it was acted by the No.1 star Vijay and was made by ace director Shankar who is known for his creative genius. But to everyone's surprise, he did a shot by shot remake without having his signatures (except that in the songs) which ofcourse turned out to be superb and was a blockbuster. When asked, he said the screenplay has already been rewritten 17 times and made perfect. So any change he does will only bring the quality down. That's the brilliance of this script.

Just finished watching the movie. This was an activity our teacher gave us. At first, I was annoyed, thinking it was going to be another silly, mediocre comedy film full of crappy jokes because I was assuming it based on the silly poster and name, but I’m glad I gave it a try and was proven wrong. I was speechless to see this movie tackle the problems with the education system nowadays, and it is the same problem I have been complaining about to my teachers and classmates in school. Never have I ever watched a movie that I could actually REALLY relate to. This is now one of my favorite movies ever, and I will definitely rewatch it soon.
