    For LCL shipment and Air Shipment, Volume weight is one of the most important factors you have to understand. There are specific calculate method to convert the Cargo size to Volume weight. There is case study to calculate the Chargeable Weight for Air shipment as well.
    The answer of Case Study
    Actual Weight:2 litter(2kg) x 12bottles/box x 100box = 2,400kg
    Volume Weight:(90cm × 30cm × 40cm) x 100box ÷ 6,000 = 1,800kg
    Chargeable Weight: 2,400kg(Actual Weight)

    So make is simple please. If I have lots of small items, is it better to put them in lots of smaller boxes or put them in 1 large box for air transport?

    Even after having same inner volume of containers and uld pallets Carriers ask to put different additional chargeable weight or PIVOTE ,

  • @BruceWayne-bk6ne
    @BruceWayne-bk6ne Год назад

    So essentially , can I ask my logistics provider to try to use a smaller box to try to get a smaller volume weight? And try to get charged by actual weight rather than the more expensive volume weight? I’m just curious since I’m new to all of this.

  • @user-bw7gn3gc9y

    thanks for the video very informative:
    is the Gross weight = Actual weight + container weight???
    and the Net Weight = volume weight???

    • @logisticsyoutuberiinosan2358
      @logisticsyoutuberiinosan2358  3 года назад

      Gross weight = actual cargo weight + packing weight + container weight + and so on
      Net weight = actual cargo weight

  • @Indiandramajunction
    @Indiandramajunction Год назад

    In this question chargeable charges will actual weight because volume weight is less than actual weight.

  • @Indiandramajunction
    @Indiandramajunction Год назад

    Gross weight - actual weight+ carton box weight
    Net weight - actual weight of all items quantity.
    Volume weight - all cartoon sizes
