Your channel is so underrated you’ve been such a life saver. I’m self taught I can rarely find so many good in depth sewing tutorials that are also fun to watch🥺
I'm finally getting back into sewing since being stuck in quarantine & finding your channel has been so inspiring! You're absolutely dope so keep killing it!
Love the way you teach, your voice is so relaxing! And you are so thorough and think of everyting a beginner might wanna ask...will be doing ur pant pattern drafting soon :)
I've been wanting to try making myself a pair of pants and remembered your channel (i love your style and use of thrifting) and ! new video showing how to make pants ! what a gift :) Please keep making content it is super appreciated
Sooooo inspired by your sewing projects. Are you making your own patterns by tracing from other clothes? Are the waistbands you do considered straight or “curved”. I’m trying to develop the perfect high waisted pants pattern and have some weird old thin vintage folk art quilt looking fabric and some 70’s thick floral jacquard from an old upholstery shop. The waistbands are never right though and I’m thinking its because the patterns I’ve got have curved waistbands. Any thoughts? Yours look perfect.
I'm making my patterns based on my measurements! & yeah my waistbands are straight! I don't add any curve to them. Hope this helps! Good luck! That fabric sounds awesome! :)
did you use a zipper presser foot to sew the zipper on or just a regular one? I only have a regular foot and was wondering if that would be alright. thanks :)
Hey Brandon . Ive just used ur video to make a trouser pattern but i notice the one you use in this video and the red contrast stitch videos are slightly different. Can you let me know why that is? Is is something to do with the pockets or zipper? Would love another video on this. Appreciate you. Thankyou xx
Hi Brooklyn! I used the pattern I made as a base for all the pants I make, but depending on what shape I'm going for (straight-leg, wide-leg, skinny) I'll alter the size of the legs by tracing in the right silhouette. Let me know if that helps! The red contrast stitch pant was more of a straight leg pant so I took my thigh measurement all the way down to the ankle. These pants were pretty regular so I left the pattern the same.
Great! I absolutely love the pockets, so flattering. Thanks for explaining the zipper area.
This video tutorial on the zipper fly was so much easier for me to understand than written instructions! Thank you!
