The Italian team is so deep now. When Asia Damato and Maggio recuperate from their injuries I'm not sure how the coaches will decide the European and World team. They will probably have to flip a coin because how can you choose only 5 ? Their juniors are also very good. The next quad into LA will be a very good one for them I think.
Fun fact: she had a back surgery to fix her problem like a month ago and she had started jumping again only a week before this event, nobody was expecting her to do the AA already, what a legend 🥹
I feel like they'll kill her in landing deductions at Worlds (assuming they were more lenient here). There's dancing out of a landing, and then there's just walking away before you ever demonstrate control. It seemed like she tried to hide almost every skill's finish, and it didn't seem super convincing.
Yeah I definitely see that too. I think her lineaments just aren’t as strong from all her injuries. So she can’t absorb the shock from the landings. I think it’s just to help her not have to put extra stain on her ankles.
Well, she said she had only started tumbling on the hard floor about a week prior to the Italian championships, so she most likely will work on that. She was just over the moon to even have been able to compete the all around and finish fourth with such short preparation.
@@E-ClaireCream yeah no one thought she'd do AA at this competition. Everyone just assumed she'd do the usual UB + BB, then a couple of days before the competition she said she had had a back surgery that successfully fixed her problems and she teased that she had a "surprise" for the Italian championships so we started wondering "maybe she'll add an apparatus?" but no, she went (almost, considered the situation) all in and went for the AA. She's not completely back but she's on her way!
I wouldn’t hold any hope though. This routine is only a few tenths lower and she consistently scores in the low 14s, which couldn’t be said for her old routine🤷🏼♂️
@@jordansefton not agree, she took off a release , the Ricna i recon, a beautiful tidy ricna in combination with other 4 elements, which gave her 0.7 of connection value. And she did it because her problems with her back. The only untidy part is the L grip giant where there is an important leg separation and that element is still in her exercise. I think her score would be higher if she could add difficulties. It's useless to compare E-score evaluation from a CoP to another CoP, every 4 years the criteria of evaluation change too much.
She desperately needs better routine for her beam. Why can’t she do front aerial + split + straddle like everyone else? It will give more points than those (failed) attempts of full in combo.
But Aerial Walkover+2 Jumps isn't an acro series. Italians always wobble after the Arial Walkover (and I don't know why this skill never works) so they don't do it... Wasn't she training Arial Cartwheel into Loso few months ago ? It's admirable that she wants so bad the Shishova in her Beam but it would be more consistent.
I really would love for Giorgia to live up to all of her potential and start winning individual international senior medals.
let's hope her back doesn't give her problems anymore!

fuoriclasse.....la perfezione non esiste
Brava Giorgia!!! Forza!

she actually had surgery 2 weeks ago, even crazier!!
Looks very confident I think could fight on BB

@@arialogic Wow I didn't realize the context. I'm super impressed at coming back so quickly!

She just has recovered from her problem in the back.. She said she prepared fx and vaut in a week just for this competition.
i really hope that for the olympics she can do her old exercise on ub

@@jordansefton yes but with her execution she can do 14.4+ and the d score raise from 5.8. to 6.2 that it is a lot

I have never seen her do the front giant 1/1 so easily before. The handstand wasn't great, but she usually struggles, even when it works

Aerial + split + straddle isn't a rebounding connection, which is required and way more risky.
She did very well in the qualifications 😢
she need an acro serie
Peccato per quelle due cadute alla trave
