I too was considering adding this feature for my new 2018 civic ex-t, but after seeing the nearly 1000 bad reviews in the google play store alone, I’m changing my mind. When there’s that many bad things to say about it, Honda should start paying more attention. Plus the fact that you have to pay for it when it apparently hardly works or even provides current info about your vehicle. It’s really too bad since it sounded pretty good at first.
Just bought Honda Accord EX, was told this would work in this trim. Bought the vehicle, found out this wasn’t true. Did some research and found that the capability relies on the Telematics control unit (39870-TVA-A01) found in the touring trim. Idk what else is needed, but wondering if this was purchased would it work? Is it recognized through HondaLink, or is it checked through the VIN, to show the additional features through the APP, if anyone finds out please let me know.
The app is not that bad it’s similar to Tesla app. What makes you pay for it is #1 being able to call for roadside assistance from your car and #2 Concierge mode which mean Honda operator will look up restaurants or hotels or shopping centers in your area for you. But it should be free
@@cdcruizer05It does work on the 2019 Sport 1.5. Only shows total range, oil life and odometer. Would have remote start etc if the car was so equipped. You can do maintenance scheduling and all that plus road side assistance.
I know this video is for an accord but I have a base model 2019 civic. I was hoping I could have the remote lock/unlock feature through the app but nope I guess since it’s a base model I don’t get that luxury. The only option I get is if I want to set up an appointment. I work on my own cars so that’s useless for me. One day when I was getting ready to go home from automotive school I locked my keys in my civic, I was hoping the app would save me by using the remote unlock feature but like I said I don’t have it. So I had to wait for my mom to get my spare car key so I can get in my car.

Armgat everything you listed my car would do. It wouldn’t allow to remote start or lock unlock doors.
