I used to watch you all the damn time in school I am so glad to see you still make videos. Thank you for all you did and keep doing 💗 hope everything is going good for you.
omg well thank you for the encouragement! I feel like I get my recs through friends and bookstores honestly. I’ll try to make some more videos like this this year! ❤
Somehow you popped up in my list - so glad you did, I love your reviews and now I have a HUGE list of books to start reading this winter - thanks! Looking forward to seeing more of your vids :)
So nice to see you here again! ❤ I also loved Martyr! and I've not stopped thinking about it since I finished it. I really need to get into his poetry because the writing of the novel was impeccable.
Dante had Beatrice to show him Paradise, and we your subscribers, Tiernan, have you to guide us through the best in current queer literature. My bestie told me a couple weeks ago that I had to read Ways & Means; frugal as I am, I put a hold on a copy in digital format at the local library (six weeks wait-ugh). After reading what you had to say, though, I downloaded a sample, was immediately hooked, and went ahead and sprung for buying it. There you go-changing people’s lives yet again! BTW, best of luck in your (radical!) transition from LA to NYC.
Tiernan! I’ve missed seeing you on here! Great to see you back 😊 It’s been winter here in Australia and I have just finished a re-read of “The Secret History” by Donna Tartt (one of my faves!) Another couple of books I’ve recently loved are “Babel” (R. F. Kuang) and a book by one of my favourite Australian authors, Christos Tsiolkas called “The In-between”, which I recommend if you can track it down in the states. All the best for your move to NYC! Peace and love from Down Under ❤
Those all sound incredible! I was just in Sydney earlier this year actually and went to so many fun bookstores! Hope you are braving the winter alright
Hi I’m a fan of yours. I follow your opinions and read many books you suggest: ex Open Throat, Just By Looking At Him, Boyfriend Material, to name a few. I’m older than you, Gen X here, and I don’t only read LGBTQ themed books. I have read everything written by André Aciman, and I adore Hanya Yanagihara! One of my fav LGBTQ-themed books ever is Aristotle and Dante Discover the Secrets of the Universe! I recently read these good books by Japanese authors: Norwegian Wood by Haruki Murakami, and Strangers by Taichi Yamada. Anyway keep posting. I always look forward to your opinions!
we as a society need to bring back casual book videos like i am loving this energy
