Honestly, while I definitely understand why people don't like HoD's visuals, I have to say that it just wouldn't be the same without the bizarre, psychedelic-like visuals, and I'd go so far as to say that it is a welcome interpretation of Dracula's Castle. The castle is a creature of chaos, after all, it would only make sense for one of the iterations to be a trippy creepshow.
