Yeah, I noticed that too. As songyang2 mentioned, there's another Mono Pass farther north, trailhead on Tioga Pass, that's easy to mix up with this Mono Pass. Perhaps we should start referring to them as Mono Pass north and south, same as Kennedy Meadows north and south.
Your borders are a little off. Yosemite is quite a few miles north of Mono Pass.
There is another Mono Pass that starts at highway 120 also. It is different from this one.

Like @hikerstl said, This Mono Pass is nowhere near Yosemite. You may have it confused with 10,500’ Mono Pass closer to Highway 120 & Tioga Pass road.
Great seeing you back in the Sierras. Thanks for the details on Mono Pass. Will try to get there soon, after we tackle Kearsarge Pass!
