After having the BOBLOV W1 for about a year now, it is such an impressive little camera with a pure focus on image quality. the SONY IMX307 is amazing! Such an excellent product. There is no simpler use case with the ease of use. Power the camera on, Starts recording, Power off, stops! Ultra Ultra reliable, Also very good in Low Light. FANTASTIC product design. Quick tip, swap out the back clip for a small super strong bar magnet attached with double sided tape. Instant fix to now attach to near any metal surface, or make an instant wearable on a shirt.
Yes, for sure. I love mine. I am testing the new F5 now which is similar with 4k and image stabilization. So far I think I still like the W1 better. I will do more testing before my review. I like your magnet idea. I was thinking of putting a 1/4 20 bolt on the bottom of mine so I could tripod mount it or use it on my magnetic chest cam mount.
@@CharestStudios The W1 is near perfect for the size and simplicity. Just finished trying the new BOBLOV F5 4K camera with a SONY IMX335 for the a full test of features indoors/outdoors, it's no where near as good as the cheaper W1. In lower light the entire image is all smeared and has no details, at any of resolution setting. Also can't capture correct colors, so night use would be near impossible. The W1 still wins in audio quality and image sharpness. BOBLOV sent me an exclusive new firmware for the F5, still no EIS. The color depth issue is the final deal breaker for this new camera. It can't capture hues or colors correctly, seems to be 8-bit dithered at best. W1 is true 24 bit color.
@@Diglicous Thanks for the info! Yes, I agree. I could not get any stabilization and could not even get the app to connect. The only way this was better than the W1 was slightly better battery life and no delay after hitting record but with all the other shortcomings I still much prefer the W1. I am putting my review together today. I hate to leave negative reviews but just calling it as it is.
@@CharestStudios Glad hear that your F5 is also having the EIS issues, it's a defect or missing feature. Since the new firmware was installed the live preview now only shows a black screen. The camera is near useless now with Wifi and a broken preview.
Mine came with a card reader so you can take the card out and put it into the computer. It should show up as Novatek with a file for photos as well as video. Also if the switch on the camera has audio selected it will not record video when you start it just audio. The audio files will also show up on a file on the card. I think you can also connect it with the cord it comes with for file transfer to the computer. Hope that helps.
They should have put the indicator light above or near the power button so you could just glance at it. But no, they put it on the other side of the unit almost at the bottom. Stupid design.

How the hell do you see the recordings from the W1? My computers will not recognize it when I plug it in.

How long does it record for the w1 constant
It claims 100 minutes but I would guess it is somewhat less. It is probably more like 70 minutes but it does charge up pretty quick.
