I wanted to share some thoughts on a pressing issue that affects us all. Currently, we are witnessing the consequences of Nigeria's lack of unity, a situation rooted in our colonial past. The British amalgamation of the Yoruba, Hausa, and Ibo to form Nigeria was, arguably, a strategy to divide and rule, ensuring perpetual disunity for their benefit. As it stands, our nation is grappling with severe challenges-corruption, nepotism, and tribalism-that seem insurmountable. These issues have taken a toll on our progress. Not long ago, Nigeria was Africa's largest economy; now, we've slipped to third place behind South Africa and Egypt. This decline is both alarming and disheartening. It is crucial for us to reflect on these challenges and seek ways to foster unity and growth for the betterment of our nation.

Waziri Ibrahim then literally formed a new party which was named GNPP for Great Nigerian People's Party (notice the similarity with the original NPP).

Only if this whole saga did start in the first place.
There is a mistake in the text, Nnamdi Azikiwe is not of NPN but of NPP.
Reuters correctly identified his party as "Nigerian People's Party" but got the acronymn wrong. I've inserted [sic NPP].
Azikiwe betrayed awo by forming alliance with NPC
Interesting time in our evolutionary trajectory... mmmm
Body language and all that...

This are the group of man that put everybody in this mess we are today
What have you done to make Nigerian better, always pointing fingers!
You make no sense! It’s your turn, change for the better. It’s always easy to play the armchair referee.
These were men of integrity, onye ala !
@@onyechichugbo5072 Well said Nwanem ! These were very intelligent men, I saw this time in history as a young man.
Zik is just after his political ambition and not for wellbeing of the masses and his people
Waziri Ibrahim was my man.. His slogan "Politics without bitterness" appealed to me a lot. I also met him and I was impressed.
I forgot the origin of the phrase over the years. If I was asked a few minutes before your post about who coined it, I'd have replied Aminu Kano.
