It’s like you can’t say anything bad or else you’re the hater 😂😂😂. There’s a reason we have multiple companies with multiple lines to cater to us naturals. There is no one size fit all, so Mo’s line isn’t going to be for everyone especially when there are things that work better. We are past making products work for us anymore, If it doesn’t work then it doesn’t work 🤷🏾‍♀️🤷🏾‍♀️. I had high hopes because I watched Mo for a long time, I used up all the products trying to make them work and in the end it just didn’t work. 😓

Agree!!! I was so irritated and annoyed when people kept saying it's user error. NO NO & NO...it's not all user error. If the product doesn't work for someone then it just doesn't work. Everything won't work for everyone. I used these products and got flaking. They just did not work for MY HAIR. Ok I'm done ranting.

I’m deaaaaaaddddd. “This spray can die.” “☹️ my hair is drrrrrryyyyyyyyyy” lol thanks for the real ness. It always kills me when people claim ingredients aren’t cheap or that they don’t matter when clearly they do. You can always see an obvious difference. Doesn’t matter if some of our faves “made” the product or not. It doesn’t change the ineffectiveness and dryness of certain ingredients.

Long term exposure can cause skin irritation and that high of a concentration of fragrance can do the same. I'm more interested to see how the primer will work as a base for blow drying my hair. I always look forward to her reviews.😍😍 I must say my hair loves this line. Not sure if it’s the scalp treatment but my shedding has decreased tremendously since I started using these products. Also, a lot of naturals use heat to stretch their braid outs, twist outs, wash n go or just for a blowout. So I think it’s beneficial and makes sense, especially with Mo being a licensed stylist to have silicones in the products. It automatically provides protection for the hair if someone does use heat.
Of course people should use what works for their hair because we all have different experiences. I thought the products had a ton of slip, moisture and gave me amazing shine. I also haven’t gotten any flakes and I tried the styling products in numerous ways. I’m starting to think something is wrong with hair because everyone keeps complaining about flakes but I’ve had none.😂 I promise. But I enjoyed her review and appreciate hearing someone’s honest opinion.😊

Í don't think it's a texture/type issue because I have multitexture from 3a to 4c, multiporosity, and everything multi, lol. The biggest thing is to use a small amount of product and a lot of water, rewetting after you apply product helps a lot.

You are correct in that I've also seen others say the products were not the most moisturizing and some of them had flakes as well. Yeah..if you need tons of water in order for a product to moisturize, idk if it’s fair to call it a moisturizing product imo.
While I no longer feel it’s geared towards a certain hair type, I do think it’s geared towards people who mainly do their whole routine in the shower. That’s really the only way you could apply these as light handed as what she’s recommending on thick tight hair...which still isn’t enough hold for a lot of people.
Plus the thicker heavier products tend to go a very long way with us..correct me if I’m wrong, but is that not concentrated enough? I’m still confused about that..

I never use products like water. And personally I wet (not spritz, not use a moisturizing products) and detangle 3-4 times a week in the shower because I like it. So please be careful of your assumptions, my hair isn’t dry either. I watch RUclipsrs because I like them. I’m the expert of my own hair. Not a RUclipsr and certainly not a stylist.
My point was that if a product 1. is advertised to be moisturizing, 2. the creator of a product recommends using a product on wet hair, then there’s no reason to get dry results using these products.

SheRea DelSol I have 3c fine hair with a 1” patch of 4a deep into the middle crown. I watch EVERYBODY just as you to get new ideas and tips. My niece and nephews, and Mom have “Mo” type 3a/3b hair. I grew up in the hair biz, in mom’s salon. We had everyone in there before the term International Hairsalon.
We had white women, Asian, Latina, black and Indian. We handled every hair type! I’ve used all kinds of products from white lines, (the one product that ever gave me True slip gliding hair was the Aussie Product and one product called 1-minute miracle and I think there used to be one called Slip back in the day) and after this video I’m going to go check them out again to see if the formula is the same.
I always wanted us to create our own line but Mom couldn’t see the dream so she got in the way so many times and I eventually abandoned it. I hear so many naturals in the community lamenting the limited understanding of the hair texture in the beauty business.
But then two new products by naturals come on the market and they’re getting poor reviews. Cancelled before they even get a chance. Tracey Ellis Ross’s Pattern has gotten panned for the expensive price point and not so great wash & go results and for the small quantities. A complaint is that the ingredients aren’t all pure natural.
That’s hard to accomplish to keep to a certain price point. And now Mo’s lined is equally destained. It’s really sad if the products aren’t working for the majority of the people. I wonder if there were focus groups done on all different hair textures.
That might’ve been too expensive to do and if they did I wonder how “anonymous” they were because people can “Stan” and be star struck that the reviews aren’t authentic. People may not want to be honest and tell their true criticism while in research and design stage.
Hopefully Pattern and Mo’s will find the people or “niche” for whom the product is truly transformative. I’ve tried neither so I can’t give a review but listening to others’ reviews make me loathe to spend the money.
And in the salon we had everything! Aveda, Goldwell, Paul Mitchell, Redken, Dudley’s, Cream of Nature, Soft Sheen, KeraSilk, Affirm, Carson’s you name it.
At the end of the day hair is hair. It’s made up of the same thing, however it’s the textures that are unique, the medication one’s on that can alter the hair’s health and one’s diet and hydration. We ask for a lot and have to be willing to change our nutrition too and supplement with biotin and other natural vitamins to help healthy hair growth.
I’m sorry this didn’t work out for you. I also didn’t like the end result of your twist out so, it’s clear the fail wasn’t “end user error,” so clearly the product didn’t work out for you. You have a beautiful mane. Sometimes it’s just ok to use products together from different lines that work. Mix them up and change them every so often so the hair doesn’t get too used to them and then stops providing the desired results.
I’ve had success with products meant for Caucasian hair- and some from Latino lines and remember for the majority of my life that’s all that was out there (white products) as black companies integrated the market for the black hair niche.
One secret that we used in the salon a few times for super oily hair? Believe it or not, once Mom ran out of a special shampoo and she ended up using “Dawn dishwashing liquid!” She said it was one of the best clarifying hair product she’s ever used.
I was shocked but guess what, that hair after the appropriate conditioners and styling, turned out the shiniest, bounciest gorgeous hair when the customer left out of the salon! I still see Mom occasionally use it on her own 3a/3b hair as even in old age she still has very oily hair! I now wish mine were as oily to keep it moisturized. But you will be surprised what works!
I still use Grandma’s old herbal remedies and natural oils like coconut oil and a stem of aloe Vera well before they were popular. We Always had a big potted aloe plant in the house and our vegetable garden had all these herbs. It’s what folks used in West Africa and so my immigrant family brought it here.
Can you see now why I wanted my own haircare line. Oh well a dream deferred dried up like a raisin in the sun! Thanks Mom! Some 20 years later that she regretted discouraging me. Whereas we were always encouraging her! Lesson learned. Best to strike out on your own if family ain’t gonna help! Maybe it’s why I’m mesmerized by all these RUclipsrs on hair care. 🙏🏽🌹🦋💃🏽🧚🏽‍♀️💐🥰❤️ thanks for your review.
