Look so clean woth those turn signals
Thanks! I agree!
Thank you. Didn't upgrade, just needed to see what I needed to do to replace the frame of the lighta.
Hope I could help!
Looks great, I'll be doing this to my VStar.
Best looking and sounding video yet! Keep it up!
Thanks brotha!!
These new LED turn signals have a frequency of about 120 times per minute. This is not allowed in Germany and the EU. They are only allowed to flash about 60-90 times a minute. For this, resistors or a new relay must be installed, because the original relay wants to see at least 21 watts. But the new turn signals only have about 1-2 watts. In your case, it could even have been that your new turn signals would have only shown steady light. … But anyway, you made a good job. … Best regards from Germany.
Wow! Thank you for watching! Cheers!
I wont to Bob my v star 650. Problem is im in love with the way it looks now. Can I keep my original seat and buy an after market rear guard? Im going to place the break light under the rear guard. and add led indicators just b4 the end of the rear tyre facing the rider . Im also going to strip the front guard and leave it raw.... or get a small replacement
Your turn signals only had two wires. What did you do with the black wire. Because of the two wires I now have nothing connected to the black wire in the headlight housing. When i just hook the blue and green or blue and brown i get a hazard lights effect. Because theres no 3rd wire.
Same problem
Maybe the mounts would have looked better the other way around, do the cables would be hidden behind the forks... Looks good nonetheless!
I see you Bernie Hope all is well Btw the bike looks great 🤙🏼💪🏼
Thanks for the love Colby!! Hope the same to you brother!
superb bike, I love your handlebars, did you need to modify the cables? Is it good with the original cables?
They're actually a stock option. I've been able to find them on Partzilla.com for about $135
@@langspeedcycle do you happen to have the part number?
What kind of mounting hardware did you use and or can be used for this? A windshield bracket? Where do I get that
I think you can find the parts on partzilla.com
Looks great. Parts supplier? Part/kit p/n?
Thanks!! I actually got the lights off a clearance rack at a local motorcycle shop, but here is a link to the website!

WHAT DID YOU DO WITH THE STOCK SIGNAL LIGHTS YOU TOOK OFF YOUR BIKE, ID LIKE TO BUY THEM IF I COULD, THANKS
I may have them in my garage? I'll be at the Gearhead Get Together in Maple Lake, MN this weekend, I'll have all my spare motorcycle parts, if you're in the area
What about the rear. Does nobody change those?
Mine had smoked lenses when I got it, so I didn't need an upgrade
Where did you buy the mounting fork clamps ?
Fortunately they were already on the bike. I've head very good luck on partzilla.com and dennis kirk if you need parts
@@langspeedcycle awesome, yes I’ve checked them and no luck. If you do see them somewhere please post it thank you very much!
Probably JIS not Philips. That's why so many screw heads are messed up.
True!
Do you have a vid of how to relocate the rear lights on a v star 650?
I don't, sorry!
If the original going to the headlight is 3 wires and the new blinkers are 2 wires I guess I am lost as to how they connect
There is the main turn signal wire, the running light wire, and the ground. I only used the turn signal wire and ground, and spliced those together. Hope this helps!
So what size front forks do you have and would you be interested in selling the old signal/mounts you took off? 😊
Sorry all the parts are long gone
Mine only does hazard lights what does that mean
Definitely grab a test light or Volt meter and see if you have power and ground at the light socket. All those wires get confusing too
Not a huge fan of the turn signals… they look a little bit sporty for my taste in cruisers. But to each their own. Love the handlebar option, and your headlight looks more streamlined than mine.
I plan to cut the stock light bar down short to tighten up the front end.
I would highly suggest checking out the website 650ccnd.com
They have the best library of DIY mods for your bike and a great forum to match.
Ride safe out there!
