One of the greatest RUclips videos ever uploaded
yes I pay attention... yes the saya... the arpeggio is taking me to another world.
I use a router to hog out 90% and hand finish with a chisel. Also glue multible colors of wood into a block, slice in half on the band saw for a nice design. My Masamoto Saya's don't have pins so I never put them on mine. I also round the edges and thin the sides to make it less bulky.
Nicely done.
Great job!
Thanks for video! I just got a knife that needs some protection and this is just what I was looking for.
Good video. I'll bet fishing line would work well for the lanyard since it's less likely to fray or fall apart. It would be harder to tie, though.
Great video! Thanks for sharing!
칼고정하는 핀을 칼집에 다른위치로 구멍을 뚫어서 끼워보관하는 방식이 좋습니다
Do you taper the inside of the saya to fit the blade or is it one thickness?
for the pin use a 1/4 dowel/hardwood tap it and use a die for the pin and hole and screw the dowel in i use ca glue in the hole so the threads won't ream out over time
What kind of wood you've used ??
Nick, Happy Thanksgiving ....
Happy Thanksgiving!
What kind of wood plates are you using for the saya?
I'm using poplar wood.
What type of wood are you using?
He said poplar.
I would have thought that ideally, you would not want the cutting edge to be contacting anywhere or as little as possible.
