Just watched this video and tightened mine. I didn’t need to undo the bolts the middle panel just pops off and clicks back in when finished. Worked a treat. Thanks 😊
Great tuition ... however I found that you don't have to take the two 10mm bolts out of the centre console. I just gave the handle by the gear stick a good yank and that part of the console came away. Then adjust as you instructed.
Mechanics take the rear wheels off and adjust from the drum this is the correct way, but I only did it this way to adjust the handbrake,I’m not a mechanic I was told about this way,so I did it the way in the video,a lot more videos show you this way too,and they still come back to this portion and adjust this nut too
Thank you for your video. After doing the adjuster through the back drum , I could not figure out how to get that plastic off from around the handbrake . Once I saw how , I was finished in 5mins . I was however saddened not to get a whole back story while my car was balanced on jack stands but hey-ho, you can't have everything in life!
Thanks excellent video. I knew the hand brake at rear wheel was good. I'd undone those two bolts. I hadn't been aggressive enough pulling on handle. Watching you yank grab handle made me think why i hadn't tried that.
Awesome!! I replaced the rear rotors and brake pads and noticed that on an incline the brake won’t stop the car from rolling down. So with this adjustment that should correct this issue, right?
Thanks Daz. Does the front of the console just clip in and out. I assume so as you didnt mention undoing any other fixings to get the front of the console to lift up
Brilliant video... so simple when you have good tuition.... It honestly took me 10 minutes start to finish and I'm no mechanic. Thanks Daz.
Cheers thanks for the comment hope you subscribe and share much appreciated

Thanks very much for this 👍👍
I have a 2018 Kia soul + 2.0. Is this the same process , can u do a video for that as well? Thank you 🙏
Robert
It’s exactly the same process just find the 2 nuts tighten up with handbrake down small turns and keep checking on handbrake

allot easier if you remove the cupholder "the plastic console above thats in the way". just remove the shifting knob and you get it off.
True
I believe there is a opening under the arm rest that allows you to do the adjustment without any need to remove the cowling at all... 5 minute job!
Will take a look at that cheers
Thanks for sharing it God bless you Thanks again
