    Please do the pmv it is not hard . You will get it ,my birds don't go out and they got it two years ago . You just wait to see what dies very depressing.
    Sum up the feed and water : dont leave feed on the floor and the feeder should be empty when you feed again . I raise fancy non flyers and the feeder is empty by the time I feed again . Water don't put a five gallon use a smaller one and change it more often.
    Great advice ,I love you coops ,easy to maintain . Biggest thing with a coop . Easy for you to maintain and good ventilation . The birds don't care what they live in as long as nothing can get at them.

      680ecks I know two local guys who's birds got PMV and sadly all of them died or had to be destroyed, its worth doing for peace of mind and will save your birds for sure. And yes the drinkers I think should be cleaned all the time as bacteria builds up and breeds diseases inside the drinkers I drop these smaller drinkers into a bucket of bleach and water every week to kill off any build up.

    Hi,
    What do you mean by a table spoon of pea's.(Do you buy it separate and what type of pea's do you put in)
    And do you mix the breed and wean and trapping mix yourself and what do you give your young birds that have just left the nest and that are a little older.

    • @LozHarrop
      @LozHarrop  8 лет назад +1

      Hi when i say tablespoon that is the amount of food I give to one bird each day. The mixture with peas in it I buy that pre mixed so all the seeds and grains are in already. I sometimes add some of that to the wheat to keep the birds healthy during moulting etc.But I give all the birds breed and wean once every 10 days or so. I feed young birds breed and wean or trapping mix until they are flying properly then I gradually put them on a diet of Wheat. There is too much protein in breed and ween to give it to adult flying birds daily they will fly too high and also put on weight fast when they cant be flown. Cheers.

    My pigeon is doing the same. Found him on the street but not sure if he's getting better. It's eating and cleaning everything else seems normal but spinning his head quite often just like in your vid. Do you know the symptom is? Thank you.

    Good video. How often should birds be treated for pmv virus. Thank you

    • @LozHarrop
      @LozHarrop  8 лет назад +2

      Once a year mate but i know a couple of guys who only treat the birds once as they say the immunity stays with them after. I have only done mine the one time but my birds dont mix with other birds so i have less risk.
