- This Mack Rides log flume opened in 1995, the year of Walibi Belgium's 20th anniversary, replacing the park's previous water rides: Rio Grande (rapids) and Rio Salto (flume). In 2010 the attraction received a complete overhaul including a new paint scheme, restoration of all moving elements and the addition of light effects in the tunnel and first lift. The fog/mist effects were added in 2013.
Walibi Belgium is located near Brussels in Wavre, Belgium.

The last drop feels really amazing, and you get kinda like an airtime but with no restrains at all since it's a log flume. And the big splash at the end gets you really wet ! And for those talking about the "nasty water", this theme park is built around a lake. A real, natural lake, with plants, fishes, and especially sediments, which gives it that brown-ish color that is totally natural. It is not dirtier than any other lake.

The ride is build on a lake, it uses that water. More ecological.
I prefer my log rides in sparkling mineral water.

This is actually one of the most unique flumes I've seen thusfar. I especially love that dark section at the start!

Flash Back is the name of a Log Flume? Awesome!
Looks interesting, but their water filtration system must be on the fritz with the water so green with algae. Almost looks like sewage runoff. Now there's a twist to the ride if people didn't know. They'd have to rename it Splash Crap. LOL

The beginning portion reminded me of Disaster Transport (RIP)
The effects are already from the opening but the dont work for a long time , but in 2013 the are working again.

My parents went on a water ride at this park in the 80s. There was toilet paper visible in the water, and they smelled like pee the rest of the day. Belgium dumps (or at the time from up til recently) their sewer waste into waterways like this. So this is basically a water ride through untreated pee and poo.
this comes from a lake, not a waterway and no way would this attraction get clearance if what you say is the case.
I can't confirm what my parents said, because I wasn't there in the 80s. But I lived in pre-EU Belgium. My townhouse had a "stream" flowing just outside, and when we flushed our toilet, sewage from our house dumped directly into that nasty brown stream, toilet paper floating in it, the unmistakable smell of urine and feces was terrible if you got too close, and stunk up the area more if weather got too warm. This emptied into the nearby large barge-accessible waterway... like it was the dark ages. It doesn't take too much imagination to assume that in the 80s, at least some of this park's sewage made it into the groundwater. In the post-EU 2000s, they started building a sewage treatment plant near our home, so I would assume much of these problems are getting better there now.

It's green by the algae. That's because the water comes from the lake. The water is not contaminated.

The track is such an awesome design but holy crap is it ugly and dirty!
Our local big amusement park, worlds of fun, has water rides and the water there looks this bad and smells bad. they used to chlorinated when i was a kid.

I think that's Psyke Underground, an indoor shuttle loop coaster.

The first part reminds me of that ride they tore out to put in Gatekeeper. What was that called?
That was Disaster Transport, an indoor Intamin bobsled coaster.
