Thank you for posting a different way to fish the lake. It makes me want to try it. I know you guide and all, but is there a way to go over how you rig up for fishing a double fly under a bobber rig for whatever depths your fishing? Cheers!
We love your videos. We are going to Pyramid lake tomorrow. Fishing from shore. Do you have any recommendations on location and lures? Thanks, Nate dog
This is one of my dream destinations, if I can ask what time of year is the best time to catch these cutties and what type of gear is needed? Assuming you're using atleast an 8 weight and full sinking line?
Sam is the man! We loved having him guide us on Pyramid and getting us into some great fish.
Nice video. When I’m back in north Nevada chukar hunting with my German shorthairs, i may need to take a break and come back over to Pyramid.
gotta give it a visit!
Awesome video

Yeah balanced! And we were fishing like 10ft in 12 feet of water!
Thanks for the kind words!
Can you use a sinking line off a boat as well?
Great video!
Thanks a ton Connor!

late feb-april is best, and you can indicator fish with an 8wt or 6wt switch rod, and strip with the 8wt and full sink!
I live 20 min from this lake and still have never fished it. I'm a bass guy but need to give this a shot. Maybe they'll eat a swim bait or popper lol.
I wish I lived closer to Pyramid. Crowley has some good fish though.
Yeah Crowley is a great time. That’s where I cut my teeth Lake fishing!
What fights harder and makes bigger runs, steelhead or lahontans?
Oh steelhead for sure haha. Steelhead are stronger than any fresh water species I’ve ever landed for sure!
@@TheFlyDudes really? I woulda thought it'd be the other way around. Some of the lahontan vids on RUclips look very intense haha.
@@jayk.2276 haha they fight hard for cutthroat! But I don’t think they even come close honestly! Haha
Lahontan are phenomenal.......but they're like reeling in a boot compared to b run steel
What flies were you using?
Leeches and midges!
HE'S A GUIDE? REMIND ME NOT TO FISH WITH THIS GUY!
Which guy? They're both guides lol.
