RIP Jeff. Watching back videos and at least we have video memories of Jeff enjoying his life even though he had an engine failure. Sorry tucker I know he was a great friend.
Hey Tucker, I am a retired small engine mechanic of 45 years and see you often dealing with clamps and attaching gizmos to your paramotors and toys like motorcycles and just toys in general. I found myself working on that stuff all the time and found that my local marine hardware store was a gold mine for all that fancy type stuff. Just think about all the things that sail boats clamp to rails and rod holders, pulleys etc etc. Not to mention it is all stainless top quality. Yes it is more expensive but who cares when your butt is in the sling.
Re: losing Jeff - I've watched many of Tucker's awesome videos, and it seems like random small parts often fail or break in weird ways on paramotors, which isn't a machine you want breaking so casually. Is there a way to upgrade the reliability of the parts or their assembly? I know that's a broad question.
Crazy to see where this channel has come. First saw you and your McDonald's vid a few year ago, you had like 200k subs I think. Its so amazing to see you're doing what you really love in life. Then, to make a legitimate entrepreneurial move with it and make money doing what you love, wow. Nothing but respect!
Hi From New Zealand. Thank you for the very entertaining and informative videos, sad to see people cant appreciate someone enjoying themselves in a legal way that hurts no one. its great to see your huge following, I am a Grandmother who likes their feet firmly on the ground but appreciates the fun you and your friends are having. Keep the videos coming, Im enjoying them immensely. :)
I would love to try this, I'm an older guy though. Really amazing that your hobby has grown into a full on business and channel followed by 1.5M. You should be proud of all your accomplishments - congratulations!
To be fair, if you're struggling with the running and physical aspect, you could always buy a trike! You need a bit more space for takeoff and landing, but it isn't much different, and I've heard trikes are more comfortable than harnesses.
Glad Jeff landed safe. I wonder what a motor out would be like before social media or even cell phones...a pilot would totally be on their own, while friends would either have to go home and wait for a phone call on their landline, or would need to start blindly searching. And speaking of people coming to talk with you after landing, I was able to fly last night with a friend and it happened to us. A carload of people stopped to watch us fly and land at our LZ, and told us they saw us earlier and started following us with their car, so they could see where we went so they could talk to us after we landed. It really is pretty awesome being a paramotor pilot, and being able to talk and share our love of this sport with others, and hopefully inspire others to become pilots themselves.
Maybe Jeff actually just accidentally finds a portal to another dimension and that's why he disappears so much? I bet he doesn't tell anyone because he doesn't want to show off about being interdimensional.

Hello Tucker! Long time fan and fellow PPG/PG/Speedwing pilot here. A few years ago, we started adding a length of 1/8" bungee to the starter handles on our Miniplane Moster and Miniplane Minari paramotors. The Moster starter handle has a small loop on it. We attach the bungee cord to that loop, and run them down the shoulder strap tying into a lower strap in the harness. It makes the starter handle easier to find if you have to restart mid-flight, and more importantly, it keeps the starter handle from going into the prop when the spring fails. I hope this tip might help prevent anyone else from experiencing the same misfortune as Jeff did!

There's probably only like 10 pilots per 100k viewers watching the content, paramotoring is such a niche sport.. like the entry cost itself it's a pretty damn big investment for having so tiny flying windows (only mornings and evenings if you're lucky with the weather and even have free time), including the risk and the extremely few take-off/landing spots that make it extremely hard to even start flying.. so extremely niche sport for people with tons of extra money to spend..

On the NOx kit make sure that ignition timing is taken in to consideration. NOx needs the engine timing to be advanced otherwise it'll blow the engine up. In other words it ignites quicker than gasoline alone.
With that rotating bracket try a drop of epoxy. That shouldn't effect anything and it will have just enough strength to prevent the migration. Yet you will be able to easily pop if off if you need to remove it. Great video!
Tucker you def ignited my spirit of wanting to PPG... Currently working on my PPL, and my wife says Plane first, then you can have a Paramotor.... Privities i guess...
In the Survey there isn't a "it is to heavy regulated in my country to have fun" option. In my country PPG's have to follow the same rules as airplains. Start/Land only on airports, min altitude (500/1000/2000ft depending if you fly over fields, a village or citty),... So no hay ball slalom flying or landing in your neighbor's field...
Have you ever flown in Montana or did any videos from Montana there's some beautiful footage you can get from the Yellowstone River and surrounding areas
Matt puts a bungie cord on all of our starter rope handles just to keep them from flopping into the prop.....just like what happened to Jeff. It's a thing. It happens a lot. Put a bungie now before it is too late. Bungie it to your shoulder strap. When I don't use my e-start, I use the bungie as a reference, I go for that first then work my hand up to the start handle. The bungie also works as a locating aid for when you are fumbling around trying to grab the starter rope. It's dual purpose....but mostly to keep you in the air and from spending $350 on a new prop.
If I ever do get around to paramotoring, the nice thing about Indiana being on EST is that the sun during June doesn't finish going down until around 10p.
Seems to be a need to get these wayward pull starts sorted that really whacked that expensive propeller, did it stick somehow then migrated into the prop ? love your video's and your success story with something you enjoy doing most.
I took the survey . But in simply afraid of heights. That's why I have never tried it. The idea of para motoring is amazing to me. I just get nervous on ladders
Your survey didn't ask what barrier was keeping us from flying. For me it's that Medicare will freak out if I fly a paramotor and deny me coverage for any mishap that I might have. I wonder if there is any Paramotoring association that offers insurance coverage? I haven't found one yet and haven't found another with the same concern. I don't mind being left penniless and destitute but I can't subject my family to the same hazard for my hobby.
Hello from Montana I'm a huge fan looking at getting into para motoring this spring I'm on a fixed income but I love this sport so much that I have to do it do you have a used mojo wing for sale
For a new bee ,what do you suggest the best paramotor trike - for single and tandem - for occasional trips ? like once in a week or so. And what is the required maintenance for the same ?
The handle of the pull starter could be designed so that it snaps into the housing, so that if the spring inside fails, or the rope itself, the rope cannot loosen and let the handle come out. After you start, just snap it in its place and it can't come out.
In response to the "why aren't you a paramotor pilot" question. In my country (Norway) the regulations are stricter than in the U.S., and as I understand it you need two (?) levels of training on a regular paraglider and 60 trips/10 hours air time before you even qualify for the paramotor course. So the barrier of entry is a lot higher. I still hope to do it, but I don't think it'll be this year.
it has always been my dream to fly I used to skydive and stopped because honestly my life was consumed by my addiction and now have a little over nine months sober and can't wait till I am able to get started and take my first flight ..... As davinci said "once man has tasted flight he will forever walk the earth with his head held skyward for there he has been and there he longs to return"....thank you for all the inspiration seeing amazing people like you reminds me of the community of people we belong to hope to see you in the sky one day brother!!!
Paraglider pilot here! I went to spain to do a powered paramotor course and the waight of the motor just put me off had to be 38kg and you break it you bought it, I asked there and then to swap on to a free flight course! look at the prices of motors that what's makes me stop and think is it worth it. Roll the dice with second hand maybe...

In typical Jeff fashion.
Tucker, can you try a six bladed prop, especially comparing it to the three blade for cross country and noise?
Seems to be a need to get these wayward pull starts sorted that really whacked that expensive propeller, did it stick somehow then migrated into the prop ? love your video's and your success story with something you enjoy doing most.
I fly a microlight trike (delta wing). I'm already having too much fun with my Tanarg/Bionix13 combo.
Survey page not found. I thought it would be fun to fill it out.
Great video !!!!! Foxy trike and Airone/Scout reviews please ...
Good survey, I wish there was a comments box however to be able to give further detail
I heard in jersey the middle finger is a sign of respect

Great info! Sweeeet vid as usual! Glad J man is good!
WHAT NITROUS!!! I WOULD LOVE TO SEE THAT MAN...JUST BECAREFUL BRO
For a new bee ,what do you suggest the best paramotor trike - for single and tandem - for occasional trips ? like once in a week or so. And what is the required maintenance for the same ?
Is that the scout with the broken spars from the famous icarus 2017 that things a legend
The handle of the pull starter could be designed so that it snaps into the housing, so that if the spring inside fails, or the rope itself, the rope cannot loosen and let the handle come out. After you start, just snap it in its place and it can't come out.
Also a bad bracket will result in the carbon fiber breaking at the rivets that hold the silencer together. I seen it happen.
You guys should get some communicators like motorcyclists use. The one I have from Sena can pair with over a dozen other people at a range of 5 miles.
This looks so fun
Jeff would be a great instructor on engine outs and emergency landings
Paraglider pilot here! I went to spain to do a powered paramotor course and the waight of the motor just put me off had to be 38kg and you break it you bought it, I asked there and then to swap on to a free flight course! look at the prices of motors that what's makes me stop and think is it worth it. Roll the dice with second hand maybe...
