GUITAR PART SESSION RICHIE HAVENS (2008)

Le guitariste-chaman Richie Havens, véritable légende de Woodstock (il aurait joué près de 3 heures!) est décédé le 22 avril 2013. Guitar Part avait eu l'honneur de le rencontrer, en 2008 (GP175, volume 12), pour une GP session où il nous avait interprété deux titres. Un grand bonhomme auquel nous rendons ici hommage.

To mymentor, Richie Havens,
Hey Richie, thanks again for teaching me guitar spritually through your music. Thank you for gracing us with your art. I find myself missing you occassionally, but then I look at a tree, or anything in nature, and then the wind blows. You're with me when I play guitar, it's funny because I think you spoke to me when I went to buy my newest guitar, it is a guild similar to this one. What's funnier, I didn't know you had a Guild Guitar too.
The Universe has a way to work itself out, and I promise to preserve music and inspire others to love, inspire, and protect the Earth, much like you did.
