I think the two-tone paint suits the car very well. But I would replace the orange from the F&F films with the original Mazda soul red crystal (46V) that would definitely look amazing! 🔥🔥🔥

I saw someone suggest millenium jade and I would have to agree that it would be a cool and unique color to see as I feel it can look really really good. However, I feel like Interlagos Fire Metallic can also be a great paint option. It was an extra color option available for 2006 model 350z’s. It is a beautiful and rare color that I am sure will make for a unique build. Love the progress and am excited to see the end result!
Good to see it come together well so far. For colour should try swapping out the orange with the Spirit R Titanium Grey Metallic and swap the black with RE Amemiya rx-7 Light Blue. Keeping the colour scheme true to the rotary roots.

I’ve heard that when they originally got the veilside rx7 from Japan it was a dark red and black instead of the orange and the people who repainted it actually loved the original color but production wanted it to be brighter. So in conclusion I think a dark red instead of orange and keep the black would look amazing on this car 🔥🔥🔥
Here’s my take on the color. You should paint it something different, change it up, but you should do an orange and black wrap for a week or two for the nostalgia
Considering all of the new body lines the full kit adds, a lighter more subtle colour will show it. The movie colourway hid a lot of it with the black especially on the doors.All champagne with a black wing would look so clean. The classy colour will also match on how you would drive it like if it will more of a collector car. Mazda has a nice match to it called carol champagne pink pearl if you are trying to keep it close to mazda. BEEN moving forward for the boys. Cheers!

It does indeed look so good but you should do something different and I think you should do a midnight blue with a gloss black accent on the section of the bonnet, on the roof, the spoiler and the the section on the side door! 😉will looks soo good, stoked to see the outcome

If you’re not going to stay with the orange, I’d love to see either the FD Competition Yellow Mica or a blue that resembles the flag of Estonia 🇪🇪 with some silver accents.

i think staying true to the FD’s original white color would be SICK with a white and black color way but since you’re other fd is already white, setting this one up for a real blackcherry-maroon type color and black would be gorgeous.

Monterey Blue or Tangerine Scream (Golden Yellow)…both epic colours! I’d probably still do the black accents on the doors, etc. Also, put it on air!! Throw some cylinders on there so that you can bump it up when need be to clear speed bumps & driveways. Can’t wait to see the end result.

A color that I personally would love to see on the rx7 is actually a original Audi color. Scubablue Metallic. . At daylight its a dark blue, at dawn it looks purple-ish and in the dark its like a black metallic. Because of the depth on the kit the effect of the color should be awesome. Maybe my pick is a bit unusual, but with black accents it looks dope af

Love the build! Color wise, hear me out - a sand/tan/beige heavy metallic paint with the black two-tone! Then a 3-split HRE wheel w/ polished lip, a light gold or silver center with the split bolts in a different color if you go silver center. Would definetly stand out & be clean as f*ck !
To keep the spirit of the veilside rx7 with the loud orange paint...maybe do some kind of metallic (lime) green and keep it black on the inner parts. Different but same at the same time :D

I think you should do orange and black. When you introduced the project, you told Sung you were building his car. It's not his car, if it's not orange and black. Plus, it's just an iconic colorway on that kit, and it looks so good.
Do a bright purple metal flake with a black top, when you show it to "Hahn" you should have the purple either wrapped or plasti-dipped orange so it looks like the movie car
Use black accents like the orange/black colorway and then pick a really nice new color of your choice But this car needs to have bags so it doesn’t get destroyed being too low and you can drop it to the ground
👏 👏 Great work guys, I’m guessing the gap in the tailgate is for lifting it up, once that’s gone you will be lifting it by the spoiler and with the weight of that it will eventually give up, I would leave a small section of the gap for your hand, great build though 😍😍
I think it would look amazing in a Teal/Black color scheme! It would be really different than what's out there, and teal is a color that stands out a bit more than other colors, but it's not too obnoxious. The kit itself stands out enough, so there's no need to make a super 'in your face' color, in my opinion. :)

Mazda Lapis Blue Metallic is a pretty uncommon factory color that has a pretty deep metallic to it. That’s what I’d recommend.

Trunk lid idea… fill it in but leave a small area in the middle just big enough for your hand to assist in opening it.

Seeing TJs red hoodie and the red around the shop got me thinking about red and black 🤔 maybe a similar red to the 350 or maybe a Ferrari red
Go black and white! Easy to change later on with wrap or you get that amazing contrast which will give you that intense look!

The original two tone Maroon and Black, when the kit first appeared at the Tokyo Auto Salon
Use black accents like the orange/black colorway and then pick a really nice new color of your choice
But this car needs to have bags so it doesn’t get destroyed being too low and you can drop it to the ground
Purple and silver sound dope as hell together
white actually looks cool, but do black inserts. with fully rose gold wheels

Dark purple and black would look good imo! Possibly with gold wheels of just silver/chrome ones

👏 👏 Great work guys, I’m guessing the gap in the tailgate is for lifting it up, once that’s gone you will be lifting it by the spoiler and with the weight of that it will eventually give up, I would leave a small section of the gap for your hand, great build though 😍😍
Dark/midnight blue with flake and black door "vents" to make the depth justice in the kit👌🏻
Glacier metallic blue from a 4runner would fit this car very well, maybe with added gold flake.

I think it would look amazing in a Teal/Black color scheme! It would be really different than what's out there, and teal is a color that stands out a bit more than other colors, but it's not too obnoxious. The kit itself stands out enough, so there's no need to make a super 'in your face' color, in my opinion. :)

I would do black and a dark wine red paint color, I feel it would look the absolute best and it’s definitely different
