    When I meant "ugreen nexode inside", I wasn't prepared for this level of detail. This is amazing!

    Disappointing that they dropped PPS support to just 3A compared to 5A on their previous 100W Desktop Charger. It mean devices like Samsung's newer Galaxy phones and tablets won't be able to charge at 45W on this charger, they'll be limited to around 30W. EDIT: This seems to be the case for all the newer "Nexode" products from UGreen.

      Realme Vooc also accept PPS in older phone.
      I think PPS need expensive chipser because it has Variable voltage instead of static voltage in other fast charge

      Agree. It's very hard to find 5A PPS charger nowadays.

      Honestly, if you keep your phones as long as I do, you don't want to charge them too fast. Batteries live longer if you charge them slower. My Note 8 charges at 10 W, 7 years later the battery still lasts almost the whole day with some RUclips and video games usage. And it still charges fast enough I've never felt the need to use a bigger charger.

    Any chance we'll see the actual current king of desktop chargers, the 245W URVNS 2 x USB-C 100W PD 2 x USB-A 22.5W Charger Station? Very curious as to the build quality / safety of this one.

      Urvns 245w it's only 100w max output and only pd 3.0 not 3.1. I'd like to no if there's any 28v 245w gan chargers out yet.?

    So as far as I can tell it uses regular capacitor based interference suppression, instead of grounding the secondary side right? That's too bad, I'm looking for a 100 W USB-C Charger with grounded output, because it's super annoying when the chassis of your laptop is at 100 V or so, even if it's high impedance.

    • @hlizzle
      @hlizzle Год назад +2

      Huh I was hoping it would be properly grounded due to the 3-pin power cable (as opposed to 2-pin on a lot of similar products) and metal ground wall socket pin. And this one costs £200! All I want is a long, PROPERLY GROUNDED 100w usb power brick so I can charge my macbook and phone at the same time. Can't find one anywhere!

    • @phinok.m.628
      @phinok.m.628 Год назад +3

      @@hlizzle Yeah, tell me about it. Unfortunately, most chargers aren't grounded, even if they have a grounded 3-pin power cable. Which is kinda ridiculous, cause it defeats the purpose of having a ground in the first place.
      On most charger with multiple USB ports, all port share a common "ground", so usually you can manually ground one of the USB ports and have the other ones be grounded as well. You can make yourself a "ground USB cable", to plug into the charger. Which is a good workaround, but it's an unnecessary hassle and makes the charger less portable. So I would definitely also prefer having a decent charger that uses the ground, instead of messing around with mains referenced filtering capacitors for no reason. It's just dumb...

      @@phinok.m.628 Very sad, was actually excited when I saw the 3 prong plug in the product photos. Actually would've paid the pretty high 200$ price, but yeah, not properly earthed again. I know that it's done for EMI reasons, but come on people, it can't be that hard...
