I called in my first turkey with my ol sly box call in Georgia. He came in silent and didn’t see him till he crested the hill in full strut at 30 yards. Love all your videos, the best hunting educator out there!

Dale you keep giving me hope I've been after either one of 3 long beards that are buddying around where I hunt they been roosting over and hitting the same field every morning for the last 4 days and this morning i finally got one in gun range and rushed my shot and missed but a few hours later they was hammering the field over, i was pretty beat up over it but hearing them still close picked me up a little and i just keep thinking about your videos and you talk about not getting discouraged and figuring it out and hunting, anyways hopefull tomorrow is The day. Thank you for all the great info and encouraging words. You have taught me a lot

Thanks for sharing all your knowledge. It has helped me fill my tag on a public land gobbler.

I called in a turkey today using a push button box call and a mouth call. Changing sounds works.

Got my first gobbler opening day here in TN. Had to use more than a few techniques I learned from you to get it done. Thank you for sharing your knowledge and experience!

Baus, seems the birds are still "behind" here in Wv. Even with the early spring and all the rain greening things up.

@daleoutdoors17 I killed my first turkey over the weekend based a lot on what I learned from your channel. Watched for sign that led to an area where I was able to hit on gobbling turkeys and roost one. Then I came in way early and setup a ways off and called them right in off the roost. Thanks!

It feels cheesy but I really like to keep a push button yelper handy. It’s so easy to work (one hand!) with almost no movement and easy to quietly yelp and even purr on. I like to switch from the box to the push button yelper when they get closer or whenever I want to sound like more than one hen. I even mounted one on my gun.😂

Thank you Mr.Dale your videos have helped me trying different tactics and I learned a lot. I’ve yet to get my first turkey my second year hunting but I’m adamant and ready to get my first gobbler. If this Tennessee weather and work would let me get out more. Thanks for all your lessons

I had 3 gobblers busted me this morning. I was looking the wrong way. When I heard a stick Crack I turned my head and 3 gobblers were staring at me. Laughed my butt off. Tomorrow

I’m honestly thinking it has to do with luck of being at the right spot the exact same time a gobbler is there. I’m going to get skunked this year. 90% of the turkeys are hens and they just aren’t doing what they normally do.

Was blessed enough this morning to get my second longbeard of the season. Broke em hanging at the property line with a slow whine call, something that I learned here from Matt Dale. My first ever season shooting multiple birds. Dale is always preaching bettering one’s self mentally, and with preparation calling. I’ve learned a ton from you and I’m very appreciative of your content. Thank you

Congrats! Same story, I'm on my third year of Matt's teaching. I've killed 17 birds in those 3 seasons combined...i had to start hunting multiple states to keep tags available. Glad to hear of your success!

Had to switch calls on my Florida hunt this spring. Ended up tagging out on two nice Osceolas. Season starts in Ohio on Saturday. Then heading to Nebraska on May 4th. Going to be a busy spring in the turkey woods.

I always liked flipping my mouth call over it makes it high pitched and very very clear it’s a duel threat

Didn't i hear about seemingly lower turkey populations, i live in the timber and there aren't near the population just a few years ago. Im north of Charlotte NC. No question about it.

Listening to this while butchering a turkey myself. Cycling through calls be so deadly. Not only may you find a call that the gobbler wants most but i think you make yourself sound like a big group of hens.
