First ... what an amazingly talented young man. Second ... it's young talent like this that will bring this great music to a new generation of listeners.
Hi guys ! The very 1st Genesis album I ever bought was "Trick of the Tail" and I got it on vinyl the very day it was released. I never even heard of them. I was browsing through vinyl albums in my favourite record store, where the manager knew me well, being a regular customer. This album was being played. I picked the records I wanted and then at the counter asked what was playing ? He pointed to the album cover at the side saying, it's new out today, and I said I''ll take a copy too. He had it in a carrier bag all ready for me. Lol. I remember playing it at home for the 1st time from start to finish, and this was a track that really stood out for me. All these decades later, I still adore this track, and I have never heard anyone even attempt a cover version let alone all by one man. I never expected the keyboards to appear. That was a surprise. This was amazing and beautifully done. Thankyou for finding then sharing this. Wonderful ! Byee Jim X
this song really sticks in your head, I first listened to this song on your reaction 2 months ago and I really loved it, Aufa kind of expanded it and opened it up a little more and modernized it, this song is really great, I sit back and close my eyes and I absorb myself into the song and I escape life for a few enjoyable mins.
This song is special to me. I discovered it shortly before being diagnosed with a rare spinal tumor. The emergency surgery left me with a spinal cord injury. The lyrics mirror what the entire experience felt like medically and emotionally.
I've known this song since it's release on the 'A Trick Of The Tail' album some 48 years ago. The song just gets better and better. Probably the only direct collaboration between Steve Hackett & Tony Banks. A masterpiece ... and just the most incredibly great cover version. Amazing !
What a talented young man! I've just subscribed to his channel and watched his version of 'Riding The Scree' from The Lamb Lies Down on Broadway. His keyboard technique is impressive! Just a point on 'Entangled', this was the track that melted away all my anxiety about Peter leaving Genesis. 'Dance On A Volcano' was a good start to the new era, but 'Entangled' took it to a new level. It's still my favourite Phil-era Genesis track.
This was truly an act of love for this type of music since he doesn't read music. Check out Massimo Bucci on piano doing many GENESIS classics. My favourite is "Musical Box".
I will follow his channel. He has great taste in music. The hooks, changes, and harmonies are killer. This is a album meant to be listened to in full. They way Squonk comes in after Entangled, pure gold. Then Los Endos bringing it all together ❤️ 🙌 Thank you for supporting this super talented musician on your channel.
It’s a fantastic cover, by a very talented young man, however the original is better, mainly due to Phil’s vocals. A trick of the tail is my favourite Genesis album, it is a gift that keeps giving, listen after listen.
One of your favourite songs "now"?! Oh, com on! This is a great cover, but this should have been one of your favourite songs when you heard the original version!! haha
I know you had heard the original and was just joking. It was really cool to see someone so young cover this song so adeptly. It’s a cool video and reaction.
Unlike here, Mike Rutherford don't play the bass on guitar, but on a Moog Taurus Bass Pedals, like on Firth of Fifth, Ripples, After Glow and many other Genesis tracks. On concert, Mike played bass pedals and 12 strings guitar/Electric guitar/Bass guitar at the same time. Many tracks here: www.youtube.com/@thevales100/videos and look for Genesis Taurus Bass Pedal Sessions
Excellent version, and a very talented young person! I would also recommend the version done by Hydria from about 12 years ago, also a excellent version but a bit more edgy than the original.
Love this song and album. In general i prefer the Gabriel era but this album is an ekseption. it's brilliant, one of their best.❤ The cover is fantastic by the way.
Nice Nicknlex so if u forgot about my requests u can do them next video so there are i remember by deadmau5 and three zero 7 songs in time home and the space between so i hope u guys can do those next video do the vocal mix of i remember because that is the original unmixed version
While I'm not saying the man isn't hugely talented, it sounds VERY strongly to me as though the vocals are produced using harmonising software. For a live performance may I suggest Steve Hackett and crew on a ship ruclips.net/video/ZcU7tHDeucc/видео.html - atmospherically very authentic audience experience
You can clearly see him singing all 3 parts of the harmony. It doesn't really matter how he did it to be honest. We recorded 2 Steve Hackett performances the other day and will post them soon.
So you guys actually Reacted to the "original" a Month ago :p. And you BOTH were blown away and moved by it as well :D. I like that this guys _accent_ kind of lends an extra element to the track. I was waiting for the synth and mellotron and he pulled it off :). Very nice, he has good taste too. There is a band called "Hydria" (from Brazil) who do a Prog Metal version of it, so look for "Hydria - Entangled (Genesis) - The Versions". Now you need to hear the original version again for a reminder 😉.
No reminder needed. I've been obsessed with the song ever since we heard the full album on Patreon a year ago and that's why we decided to post Entangled as a clip of the full album a month ago. Mentioned all of this in this video. ;)
@@NicknLex Well I heard in this video that Lexi asked "Is this Genesis?" that's why I mentioned it, and I could swear you or both reacted to it. Sorry about that. Edit: Well of course I stopped the video RIGHT before you said it 🤭😐🤐.

this is Heavenly, it's what I imagine Heaven sounds like when we get there, Angels will be playing this song.

I shared his video on my Facebook page
Thank you David!!
@@NicknLex you're welcome
Yes, a very talented young man! I would also highly recommend you watching on RUclips, "Antoine Baril - One Man Genesis".

The cover is fantastic by the way.
A magnificent song, one of their best for sure. Not surprisingly with so much layered guitar it is a Steve song. This cover version was amazing!
Nick, there are bass pedals on the original.
Hi there🎉Greeting from hot Jakarta. This is amazing😮
Self taught is just baffling.
Música tranqui saludos 💪🇦🇷🇦🇷🇦🇷🇦🇷👍
Freaking amazing
Well, Aufa certainly likes good music!!!!
Please react to Genetics from Argentina, you will be surprise with this excellent covers of Genesis.
It would be interesting to play these side by side. No drum to keep time and Aufa seems to have it down exactly including time.
I am generally pretty critical of covers, but this one we very well done.
Glad you gave it a chance and enjoyed it!!

@@NicknLex No, I agree, it doesn't matter, and tbh it wasn't a criticism as such. Looking forward to your uploads 🙂
I'll repeat - What's the use in making copies? Bring something different into songs if you make covers...
