Bad Ischl in the Salzkammergut region of Austria is one of the best places to travel now. This Austria travel vlog takes you on sunny walk in town where Empress Sissi of Austria used to spend her summers. If you plan to go visit Europe in summer, or you plan to go visit Austria soon, Bad Ischl should be part of your best Austria trip destinations. It's lush green gardens and the many beautiful flowers and historic architecture make it one of the best places to see in Austria. The Salzkammergut (or Salzburger Land) is a particularly attractive region to visit in Austria. There are so many things to do in Salzburg and the surrounding Salzkammergut region that you don't want to miss.
Bad Ischl is a spa town in Austria. It lies in the southern part of Upper Austria, at the Traun River in the center of the Salzkammergut region. It is connected to the village of Strobl by the river Ischl, which drains from the Wolfgangsee, and to the Traunsee, into which the stream empties. It is home to the Kaiservilla, summer residence of Austro-Hungarian monarchs Emperor Franz Joseph I and Empress Sissi Elisabeth. In 2024, Bad Ischl is the European Capital of Culture - the third city in Austria after Graz (2003) and Linz (2009). Besides the Kaiservilla, the city offers several health spas and tourist attractions, like the historic Kongresshaus opened in 1875, the new Kurhaus built by Clemens Holzmeister in 1932, as well as the Lehár Villa, the former residence of Franz Lehár, that he acquired in 1912 and today serves as a museum.

Hi everyone, here’s another highlight from my trip through Austria. Bad Ischl is such a pretty town and I really enjoyed the fresh air and quaint feel of the town center. Of course seeing the imperial residence is a must. I hope you enjoy this video 👍

wow you visited all the places I have planned for Austria trip (only Grundlsee is not in my plan list)... Are you planning to visit Innsbruck from Salzburg, then to Mittenwald of Germany and Dolomites area of Italy as well ? or you heading north to Czechia ?
That is awesome! This was recorded during my previous trip which I combined with Switzerland and Italy. But Innsbruck is a great little town too and if you go there from Salzburg, don't miss out on a stopover in Zell am See. I will show a video on this shortly :)
The Kaiservilla (summer residence) has really a nice garden with beautiful flowers. I saw the big gloriette in Schönbrunn, Vienna 😊Did you go to the inside of the villa, Janus?
Yes, I went inside but didn’t spend too much time in there. The weather that day was just too nice to be indoors 😊

@@f.berjer4612 well, my videos may be a bit misleading as I actual prefer to do my visits during times when there are less people. I often record during mornings, lunch hours or evenings. You’d definitely find lots and lots of people in Austria, especially in tourist hotspots like Salzburg, Hallstatt and of course Vienna 😊
