This amazing pot makes one of the BEST cups of coffee. I always took my alum pot camping. We were in the middle of no where and this guy casually said he was craving A capucino. I made him one of these; A truly happy camper! So simple to make on a camp stove and and such a treat in the morning.
Looks delicious. My husband burned my Moka Bialetti, it looks so ugly now and it’s one of the older ones made in Italy. He also burned my favorite pot so now everything I cook sticks to it. I have an idiot for a husband and here u are making delicious coffee for ur wife. Hope she appreciates it.
Just buy some metal polish paste for 5 Euros and your bialetti will be as good as new as will your pot. Little bit of paste to piece of canvas and both will shine like mirror.
This is very interesting... Just a note, I used to own a cafe for years & would serve expresso/latte & cappuccinos from a 10k machine. It isn't needed as long as you master the brewing system. The burner should be medium heat not too high, the reason? high temps will cause coffee to extract more of a bitter taste towards the end of the brew. Remember these 2 -Temp & Time.. The longer it takes to extract, the more likely you are to have a bitter taste also. You can add a small pinch of sodium, salt to your grounds before brewing. This gives a full body, milder flavor & cancels the bitter flavor through the extraction process. Coffee is awesome & there certainly is an art to it. This looks like a wonderful brewer system. Just a piece of cool information.. in Sweden sometimes they brew coffee with salted meat, to give it extra flavor & cut the bitterness out in the coffee. They say it tastes like heaven, who knows. Happy brewing & thanks for posting this.
Taco agreed kind of like a steak blast the heat you will char the outside with a raw center but a lower consistently be heat will slowly travel through
OK, after several inquiries, let me clear the air...thanks for the comments. It's a 1994 Rolex Submariner, purchased through the Navy Exchange Catalog Sales, while I was active duty serving onboard the USS Baltimore (SSN 704). You're welcome.
Ok the watch it ok. But Where did you get the pot at can you post a link was the Amazon Wally world where please. I have got maiko pots, percolators I need that for my collection and to make me some awesome looking coffee.
@@Sunshine-bh8ki This one is called the Bialetti Mukka Express Vetro ...I think it was exclusively sold via Williams-Sonoma at one time..now you can check Ebay :D
My Mukka was messy, cold and almost without foam at the beginning.. But when I was looking for a valve replacement, I saw, there comes a small rubber ring with a new Valve. So I just put a small rubber sealing ring on the pillar where the coffe comes out, right under the top so the Valve sits on it. Now everything is sealed tight and i have more foam than ever, the coffee is much much hotter and there is no mess anymore. Everybody with problems, try a small sealing ring under the valve! (Try at own risk, always see that the bayonett valve is sealed tightI) Its a 13mm x 1,64mm ring ("R-06")!
Great video, thanks for sharing. I've had mine for almost ten years and I love it. Found it in a thrift store for only $3. I've used it with all milks and the results are always the same. Perfection*
I bought one of these a few years ago. Without fail, every time I use it I get a boiling milk volcano all over my kitchen. I know your going to say I am heating to quickly or for too long. I have experimented with all those variables and still get the milk mess. I’m done with it. I love the other products they make, just not this one. Great video by the way. I’m glad someone is having success with that thing.
I had a similar problem happen to me one time and I discovered that the rubber ring had gotten hard and was cracking so I didn’t have a proper connection when twisting the two parts together. I threw it out and bought a new one and that solved my problem. For 18 years I’ve had a lot of success with it, but every once in a while I do have to replace it.
Fantastic video! Informative and to the point. Your guidance inspired me to finally use my Bialetti Mukka Express. Worked exactly as you demonstrated and the resultant beverage was delightful. Nice watch and thank you for serving our country 🇺🇸
A common complaint with beginners is that the Mukka does not heat up the milk enough. What a simple and elegant solution to just leave it on the stove an extra minute.
Just over 4 oz water in the base, the same as the amount of milk to fill line. Just under 2/3 cup. Heat on medium high .Also wash all parts carefully and dry completely. The base is aluminum, coffee is acidic thus pocking can occur if you do not do this. The oils in coffee can gum up plastic frother lift mechanism so I rinse with water to avoid buildup. Milk proteins rinse out better in cold water. I found mine on eBay. I discovered the leak when pouring came from mineral buildup under the large gasket.
Great video, very nice that you have a clear one that shows the process. I just bought one tonight and can't wait for morning to try it out. Thanks again.
Very good demonstration. I just wanna note that I don’t even drink coffee and I don’t know why this was recommended to me but I’m pleasantly surprised. Hope 2019 is treating you well.
Found one on auction site but leaks where coffee and milk components meet. So want to replace the filter & gasket but unable to find how that's correctly done. Remove gasket with a dull knife for example. Have watched all possible videos, yours is by far the best. Thank you.
I know this is an older video but today is my birthday and my wonderful son ordered me one yesterday. Glass top and all. I can not wait to duplicate this recipe. I can smell the espresso now. Bravo
Great video and the clear pitch portion of the Mukka pot made it very nice to watch what it does. I do have a question, if you don't put any milk into the pot and make just plain coffee instead, is there a healthy crema made? Does the coffee taste like espresso then? I wonder how the Mukka pot would make plain coffee vs the Brikka model?
great video! I have had mine for years and have been afraid to use it, as it blew up once. I just pulled it out of storage and it worked great, Thanks you!
is the bottom of this aluminium? Ive been trying to decide if I want to get one because I didnt know if it worked on Glass top stoves so I might buy it and give it a try now! Thank you!
Cutest moka pot on the planet ! 😍 Isn't it a bit fastidious to clean, though ? I suppose you should pour cold water into the pot right after you have served the coffee, so the milk doesn't dry in the system ? Just asking... 8 years later, lol.
Thank you 😊 I ordered one after watching and it arrived today. Unfortunately I didn’t get the nice clear one like you found as those are only available as used at about double the price of a new ‘cow pattern’. It made a nice cup of cappuccino and the foam (almond milk) is yummy 😋
Couldn’t find the glass top one in US, do you think I can do the same for regular Bialetti pot? ( really like the idea to add milk in it! So it come out done! )
i never saw anything like that, that's very cool although it did not seem to make very much (i drink 2 or 3 14oz travel mugs a day) but i'm guessing there's a difference between my coffee and espresso's ...
Thank you for such a good video. Maybe you could help me with a couple of questions please? I have watched a number of these videos, and only two of them have shown a cappuccino cap addition as in your video. Does with this device automatically come with these , or is an attachment? Also, it looks like yours is the single cup size. Did you have any choice in this on purchase? My best wishes. Tim Marshall
Hi there!! Great video, I just have a question. Do you have the option to make different amounts of cups? Let’s say if this is a 4 cup version, can you make 1 cup or you have to make the max amount? Thank you!
No, a specific amount of water is added to a specific mark inside the lower vessel - likewise, a specific amount of milk is added to a specific mark on the upper vessel.
Nice video. Where did you find a glass one? Also if you don't press button for cappuccino and leave milk out will it just make coffee/espresso like a regular Bialetti?
Have they stopped making this now? Seems like maybe yes. The prices for it out there now are very high. Is there an alternative similar device for a cappuccino?
I see milk build up on the main tubing in froth compartment. Its very difficult to get in there to clean. Any hints on how best to clean milk buildup. I rinse ea time but that must not be enough.
I don't own these, but I'd put a vinegar mix in the chamber and boil that so it pushes the vinegar through the wand 4 u. Should take take of most the elbow grease

REgardin the high heat, hot water helps to get things going quickly to reduce exposure time to heat!
Taco agreed kind of like a steak blast the heat you will char the outside with a raw center but a lower consistently be heat will slowly travel through
Its not like an espresso machine, higher heat is usually the way to go on these to get the best taste. Depends on your stove.
