- Beautiful piece by Jarrett, to my knowledge never recorded in a trio setting - although live bootleg recordings exist. This is one of them, filmed at the 8° Festival Internazionale del Jazz di Lugano held on October 15, 16 and 17, 1969, in the Teatro Kursaal in Lugano, Switzerland.

This is a real masterpiece. It's incredible this version just slightly different from the original, but so intensely and passionate... I bought the LP more than 40 years ago and remains always in my heart...

Thank you so much for posting this. I sat 10 feet away from Keith Jarrett as he played this at The Jazz Workshop in Boston in the early 70's and it changed my life. I even wrote a song loosely inspired by this amazing composition (it's here: ruclips.net/video/x7DWBzoNscM/видео.html). Every time I hear this song I am transported back to that time in Boston.
