This fight ruined Zahir Raheem career even though he won the fight against a ATG in Erik Morales he was blacklisted from boxing after this fight no one wanted to fight him
Raheem said in an interview at the time that he didn't want to fight Pacquiao because it made no sense fighting someone that already lost to the same fighter Raheem defeated. He just wanted to be in the big leagues fighting other top-ranked fighters. I'm sure Pacquiao would've wanted the fight but he wasn't calling the shots. Murad Muhammed infamously claimed that Pacquiao wasn't suited to face black fighters and would only generate little money compared to fights with high-profile non-black names, which is another reason the Raheem fight never happened.
Я видел Моралеса в разные времена! Его били молодые, сильные, быстрые бойцы, ближе к пенсии! Но что бы противник был умнее, хитрее "Ужасного", вижу первый раз! Спасибо!
Erik won against Diaz though.......it was a horrible decision indeed. Erik was coming from the victory against Manny here......he was tired of boxing and cut the weight at that point.
@@decidingpaper6324They always justify cowardly boxers. The truth is that Erik came out clean without any blows and they say that he lost when the other boxer spent the fight running. If he didn't want to fight, he better look for another sport.
@@pitercrauch there’s a difference between running and outboxing your opponent. Outboxing is what Raheem did here, and running would be what Shakur did vs de los Santos
@@decidingpaper6324This is boxing, not a marathon. If you're afraid, don't get in the ring. You're afraid of hitting and getting hit. That's why Erik is a Hall of Famer and the other one is just any Gayweather.
@@pitercrauch well, boxing’s not a sprint, it’s a marathon, and conditioning is important in the ring. You often see prospects blow away their opponents in one or two rounds only to get rinsed when they step up or fight someone who can take them past that.

This was the beginning of the end for Morales.😢
Raheem was not blacklisted. He didn’t continue his momentum. He lost to acelino freitas right after this

Mayweather would have declassed Morales
This was Morales at the tail-end of his career at a weight he wasn't accustomed to.
Would've declassed Morales at ducking fights, yes
Old washed up morales, beat maidana up with one eye closed. meanwhile, mayweather was screaming like a girl when he fought maidana 😂😂😂
Mayweather sr trained morales in his prime for a few fights. One day, he made Mayweather Jr.'s spar morales and morales kicked his ass

with one hand Erik beats that cowardly boxer
It’s called technical boxing, and Raheem outboxed him for 12 rounds
