A Brighter Summer Day is an incredible film, great shout out. The runtime can definitely be scary to some people, but it's so worth it
Yi Yi is my favourite film, and everything else I’ve seen from him is in some way a masterpiece. A Brighter Summer Day might be the most powerful experience I’ve had watching anything.

I actually haven't gotten over 300 movies since pre--pandemic. I think I got to around 175 or 180 this year.
No relation to THE Ryan Reynolds, but I've been hearing jokes about it ever since Blade Trinity came out 😅 Thanks for reading my comment!

A Brighter Summer Day is Taiwanese*, great discussion though - so glad you decided to keep the show going! My favourite recent releases are probably Return to Seoul, Koreeda's Monster (my favourite director working today probably) and I just saw and loved Killers of the Flower Moon.
Hardly saw any new films or TV but my favourite film was EASILY Happy Hour (by the director of Drive My Car). It was absolutely incredible. One of the best films I've ever seen.
Blue Beetle was like a modern take on The Guyver and it was amazing
okay wait someone please help me, I'm looking for whatever episode it was in which Huber talks about seeing Boy and the Heron, I swear it was with this kinda camera alignment but I've skimmed this and the next episode and I couldn't find the segment for the life of me. Thanks in advance!!!
