I don't think that many people realize that the last Duel WAS even underrated more than people think. It is exactly how the end of the show of Gurren Lagann was. Just how Simon and his friends defeated the ruler of the universe and the passed on the torch to the Simon and the others. The same could be said here. The new deck defeated the old one and passed down the torch for this new build. It is so MANly that only the MANliest of MEN could fathom the duel's MANLINESS!
Alexander Allensworth It’s even more connected than that. In order to induce the greatest amount of despair, the Anti-Spirals opted to fight Simon and co. using a form equivalent to theirs. In a similar way, Yanfly’s opponent is also using a Synchron deck with very similar cards, and almost half of the game was Librarian vs. Librarian. You can’t get much closer to a perfect TTGL duel than that.
I constantly come back here from time to time just to marvel at the epicness of this entire showcase... I don't think that this ever been matched from the day it was released... Much like TTGL was...
I would say that last duel was manly but that seems like an understatement. Quazar was synchro summoned what like 4 times that duel? that deserves the never before awarded "Kamina Manly" rank
You're brought down to 300, then are able to win by reducing your opponent's life points to exactly zero, using their own signature monster. I'm not convinced you AREN'T an anime character
AnvilPro100 True Story. This was unbelievable! No words for describe. 3 Quasar & 3 Shooting Star Dragon losing against 1 Lone Quasar with Drill Warriors is a unique case in the History of the Universe! This was, is and will be as far The MANLY Game of this Formation, or even this Year!
Even as 2017 is due to begin, this video remains. Powerful, inspirational, and ever manly. The last Duel of this compilation teaches us a lesson: your enemies often hand you the tools to defeat them, if you pay attention. Yanfly had 1000 Life Points remaining after Quasar attacked . . . the same 1000 Life Points his enemy was foolish enough to give him with Upstart Goblin. Also, Yanfly never did any damage until the end . . . the enemies that avoid harm most are often the easiest to fell once you do touch them.
17:43 Drill Warrior using Breakthrough Skill to summon himself back is just...so perfect to me. It's thematically appropriate, it synchronizes surprisingly well with the music, and it leads directly to the game being won that same turn. I don't know how many times I've seen Y4RM's videos over the years, but that moment there will always be the MANLIEST duel ever performed.
that last duel felt like you're fighting with yourself... the deck composition was similar yet had major difference power... it almost felt like you're fighting with the anti-spiral himself... XD
Holy shit that last duel was fucking inspirational. I need to get my life back on track. I need to tell my mom I love her, reconnect with my family, work harder and conquer everything. Fuck tumblr quotes and posters, this is where hope is born.
come to think of it... YuGiOh4RealMen is like Simon.... coming out of nowhere, digging holes (in this case making great decks), then disappearing, leaving with all the great things he's done for us to enjoy and follow...
Coming here 2 Year later to tell you all that no matter if he doesn't duel anymore, 4RealMen keeps being the best, showing that no matter what, Yu-Gi-Oh will be fun as much you want with a bit of effort and skill. Trow all those generic traps and skill-less meta decks and go play this, the real manly way of dueling.
This video still resonates in me after all this time and after the game has changed so much. It really is a true masterpiece filled with passion for a simple card game, with such simplicity and awesomeness that you just can't get around the astonishing emotion that transmits and all the memories that are connected to this. On a really personal level I just can't help but get a real big smile when I see that last duel, it just bring so many things back and seems unreal everytime. Thank Yu-Gi-Oh4realmen for everything you created.
Just finished watching Gurren Legann for the first time and I just had to come back and watch this. The intro got me teary, the last duel made me sob hard. Thanks for this video
When he summoned his quesar at the end I played the last bits of the gurren hen movie. "Well how about we do that." "That?" "Isn't it obvious? COMBINE!!!"
Indeed. Games like these show Yugioh at its finest: long games where players have to grind value out of every single card and make difficult decisions that could make or break the game. If you look back at many of the older formats that are popular among players-Goats, TeleDAD, Synchro Cat, Plants-you see all of these elements repeated over and over. I think that’s no coincidence.
Brawler_1337 That’s the things we find most enjoyable in a game. At least card games. In other game slime sports we enjoy things like complete domination a lot more. Odd thing
Bruh The Person There are elements of both in sports, too, especially soccer. Soccer games are long, defensive, low-scoring grindfests. In spite of this (or perhaps because of this), soccer is the most popular sport in the world.
I NEED Tengen Toppa Gurren Lagann mk3 of this man playing some sort of brew that lets centur-ion play along side Drill Warrior (also no king calamity cause that card isn't MANLY)
My manly friend you are a legend! Everyone at my locals was talking about your dueling skills and how you took done those quasars. Keep dueling so manly :)
@@bobbybero7452 True, at this point i just have adapted, i still play the game only with friends and with fun decks, not meta. I think as long as i can do that i will be able to continue playing. But i surely miss those days before Pendulums and Links just summoning lots of Xyz and Synchros
I only discover your channel now but wow, thank god a friend showed me your videos. That level of awesomeness is what I strived to achieve in my duels when I played yu-gi-oh regularly. I still have a long way to go but thank you master, you've inspired me in trying once more to reach that level :D
The last duel left me without words...this has to be my favorite deck you show footage of. The excitement of the situations you pull through are too great to watch and replicate gurren lagann comebacks too well.
After seeing some people say Supply Unit is overpowered from seeing this MANLY video, I decided to see just how much advantage he gained with it against the sissy decks of his opponents, counting each duel's extra draws, mills, and searches. End result? The only deck where our Supply Unit player manged to thin more cards out of his deck was the very first duel, versus Raccoons. In all the others his opponent either did just as well or better. And for the ties, Fire Fists thinned out faster with more searches, and Turbo Quasar DREW MORE CARDS, even assuming some of the reckless greed cards drawn as "normal turn draws" against 3 Supply Units at the end (the only game where all 3 were out). And this is also when the Supply Unit deck can GUARANTEE a monster on the field for the opponent to destroy every turn (best case scenario for it). If Supply Unit is busted, then I guess the entire game needs a look at, since it seems plenty of other decks have no problem keeping up with it. Anyway, to our MANLY host, keep up the good work! I've been watching your vids for awhile now, and it's a highlight of my day to see a new vid from you.
the whole time the gurren laggan theme was playing i was humming the lyrics and thinking of simon lol.i have to make this deck its amazing i have to make it lol going to use this deck but giving you all the credit xD PIERCE THROUGH THE HEAVENS!
its been 6 years but still come here time to time to watch this.... such a legendary duel..... i love it! i know yanfly is working on his rpgm plugins but maybe he should play some yugioh once in a while

You are what every duelist should aspire to be.
FUUUUCK, DUD- i mean, SHIIIIIIIIIIIIT SON! That last duel was just beautiful, way too manly to that time's meta. It trully ALMOST bought a MANLY tear to my eye.
Marcos Vinícius It's like; Damn, imagine you against the strongest deck Yusei could ever bring to the duel. And you runned over the most OP shit he could trow at you. (Of course, without the Deus EX Machina/protagonism/"heart of the cards" shit, only TRUE manliness)
ThiviScar To be fair, Synchrons don’t usually play real traps. At that point, he had only seen Call and maybe a Breakthrough Skill, so maybe he figured being conservative with his negation wasn’t worth giving Yanfly card advantage. Don’t get me wrong; I think it was a misplay, too. However, I do see the logic that would lead to that play being correct.
