Elvin are going to be part of The Warning's future fan-Hall of Fame. Retiring, I have sometimes wundered what happened to a guy like Mr. Boylan, did he just completely retire? It looks like he was a fan making an importent support for the girls at an earlier stage and suddenly he was not seen og mentioned anywhere.
westmus j It was a bad split with Boylan, I’m not at liberty to go into details, suffice it to say that Luis appreciated his support in the beginning and even thanked him by name on the 1st album’s credits🤐. I will always support the band but to get to the next level, they require professional music videos such as done by Raziel Zúñiga and Abraham Marcos. The fan videos using iPhone footage will not get them to the next level IMHO. I had this same discussion over dinner with TW Translations Guy and we both agreed that our TW “support” day’s were numbered when it comes to YT promotion. You’ll notice that he too has stopped producing subtitle translations to TW’s interviews. I enjoyed his work but...😎
Thats how the world is, not everyone will agree on things forever. Being supportive and helpful about something, usually means you are also very committed and may develop strong opinions about things. That have to give some clash sometimes. I have enjoyed a lot of those fan videos, actually often more than the official ones from the band. The good fan videos kind of remove the distance between fans and the band, that there mostly are in the proffesional polished stuff. It's part of the magic, it's more real, it's actual makes you feel closer to the band. If there only had been the official videos, I personally don't think I had developed such a big interest in The Warning. When a video like your "Ale rising" have passed 90.000 views, then the fan made stuff make a difference. 👍 I think a have written it before, never underestimate the power in low quality videos, doing cover songs etc. Just look a Larkin Poe (sister bluesrock band) and their bedroom video series, they are now touring the world as headliner at sold out gigs. They have the talent and the original music and those "crappy" videos made people find them in the ocean of bands trying to make it. They actually became the support band on a Bob Seger tour based on just 1 of these homemade videos.
@@westmus I appreciate your views of the fan videos. I've had many back and forth discussions with Matt Heaffy who is probably the best fan-video producer at this time, altho ealderet is coming up fast. I'm glad i got Matt to purchase a zoom digital recorder to sync his video with a better audio. You might have seen his Whisky remix. A few of us have been sending him the raw files to help him do amazing remixes. He's using Final Cut Pro which is far better than the iMovie video editing app i was using. I've got Final Cut Pro, but the memory requirements greatly outpaced my iMac's capabilities. The files were not in the gigabyte range but were in the terabyte range, especially the 30 minute plus vids. I still might dabble in some remixes, but not as much as before. Anyway, thanks for your support.
Elvin, Whisky '18 was probably still my favorit The Warning performance, it was raw and real. I loved most of the videos from that gig. Matt's multi-cam is great. It has good quality pic/sound, but it's not "glamorized", like many modern pro-videos. The often to many close-ups, fast cuts and the to perfectly mixed "album" sound, kills the illusion of actually being at a gig watching a band playing live. When played real loud on my big stereo, Tim Little's Dull Knives video was probably the closest of any The Warning videos I have watched, to get that intense and powerful sound I know from being in the crowd at live gigs. It seems sadly to be totally gone. Luckily not all the "removed" LA- videos are actually gone, you just have to know the exact link. 😉 Hell, now I have to play some Judas Preist live at US-Festival '83 videos ..LOUD. Impressive sound for such an old recording. ....Screaming for Vengeance! 🤘😍🤘

We've got a crazy caption game going on where folks post TW photos and everyone throws out caption ideas until a winner is declared. It's silly but good fun. Matthew gets picked on a lot in the captions but that's only because he seems to win a disproportionate amount of the time. Some very questionable judging going on. Very questionable. :)
