not really, quite easy to catch if you are listening, listen to earl sweatshirt if you wanna hear wordplay and punchlines so complex he is the best rapper out here. Check out Earl
Lil Wayne hands down one the greatest rappers in the books. So many classic albums, songs, videos, bars and just overall influence in generations of artists.
"You can't just take one bite of something and expect to understand the flavor of everything" I like that philosophy. I'm going to remember that in my everyday life. That was a little gem.
Cory gunz is an artist lil Wayne signed he actually never took off. As for lil Wayne he has been relevant since 1998 and mega star after 2002, and remained extremely popular until around 2014. Currently having issues with his label and not able to sell music
TypicallyTypical 54 million not 56, and he didn’t beat the case yet. The court has given Birdman 60 days to show receipts for everything he has done with money earned from Drake’s views and Drake’s more life, wayne hasn’t seen a penny from either album, Drake is supposed to get 50% and lil Wayne 24% and Birdman 26% drake earned 100m last year meaning lil Wayne should have got 24, Birdman 26, and Birdman kept Wayne’s share. He also owes 10 m for the advance for c5 and an additional 17m in unpaid royalties: wherever you got your information from is wrong, check the court documents
Remy Mafia he is popular in the sense that if you ask 100 random people from ages 12-40 if they have heard of lil wayne or know who he is, I'm sure 95 will at least have heard of him. But I don't think he is "extremely popular" for what someone of his talent should be popular for. I think he is this generations most talented rapper, with the most impact, only kanye can be in the conversation of influence and impact with wayne and it still probably goes to wayne, dreads, tattoos, the clothes. But ask the same 100 people if they like lil wayne they over half will say no even though 5 years ago when he didn't have legal issues and was steadily releasing music most would say yes. Lil wayne will go down as one of the greatest to ever touch a microphone and not just rap, in general. But unfortunately we live in a time where the cool thing to do is hop on bandwagons and not have your own opinion and everyone bashes legends in rap, like Jay z and nas, and even 2 pac now. I agree he's popular but not from people who listened to dedication 6
Lil Wayne is one of the best at saying nothing. He is a great clever, witty punchline rapper who chooses not to focus on messages or stories. However rare, when he does focus on a message he is good at that too. As you can see, there are many different types of rappers. Enjoy!
Wayne doesn't tell a lot of stories but there are a lot of consistent messages throughout his music most of the time they're in the wordplay though and not the main focus of the song
Nia R. Wayne has been rapping for 20 years. When you reach a certain point, you lose content to rap about. He’s rapped about everything. Eminem doesn’t have substance anymore either. It happens to everyone. Don’t downplay the GOAT.
It is good to see you recognize how talented lil wayne is. He does not get the respect he deserves anymore. He was one of the biggest rappers back in the mid 2000s. He freestyles all of his songs, which means he does not write them. He said that he only wants to leave his music behind when he dies. That way nobody can read his lyrics and interpret them after he dies. Dude is smart as fuck.
This reaction is for everyone who thinks Lil Wayne isnt a good rapper or indifferent, never understood da hate this guy gets, I understand people not liking some of the controversial stuff he does but how u not reconize the guy's talent. This guy whos not really knowledgeable about rap music is listening to the song wit unbias ears & says Wayne is very intelligent wit the way he uses his words. People think if u listen to Lil Wayne its like your not hip hop or u dont understand hip hop but people forget he comes from the classic era of rap from the 90s & has been doing this rap stuff for a long time & u cant compare Wayne to some regular Joe Smo.
Why isnt Wayne up there wit the Jay Z's, Eminem's & Nas's. Is it because he got tattoos, uses autotune in his music & drinks lean, who gives a shit bout stuff like dat, guy is talented & should be up there wit da best rappers based on skill alone. I can understand people say Wayne's music isnt for them, I heard people say Eminem is talented & their music isnt for them but I hear so many people say Wayne isnt a good rapper at all which I cant wrap my mind around it, wit all da songs u heard from Wayne u didnt think any of them had high quality, SMFH. Are u a blind hater, do u really believe Wayne sucks as a rapper or u just follow the crowd wit this anti Wayne agenda?
This is Epic! Lil Wayne is the greatest rapper alive when it comes to wordplay. I’m surprised you never heard of him. He is responsible for the careers of Drake and Nicki Minaj. You definitely earned my Sub with this vid! 💯
U remind me of an old friend, his name was Stevie. I am a hip-hop head he listen to rock but he could appreciate good music. Hip-hop or rock. He passed away awhile back so this was an awesome video for me. Thank u...
Wayne was the biggest artist on the planet from probably 2006-10 you couldn't go 10 places in the charts without seeing his name somewhere. Great channel, you come off as really thoughtful and eager to learn. Subscribed
I recommend "No Ceilings" Lil wayne, also you prolly know by now but Lil' Wayne is considered one of the greatest in a top 5 also he doesn't write anything everything is done in a studio and he comes up with all on the fly. Anyhow I'm a fan of your reactions vids, glad to see it
"a clear voice" -- not the first thing that comes to my mind with lil wayne but i like to hear that "i think u stand under me if u dont understand me " now how many ppl dont understand/respect im glad to see u do. recognize the craft at hand , respect and approve of the person&effort provided .despite a lack of previous rap interest/involvement . dope!.
Dude. So much respect that your digging into a new genre. Some lil Wayne you’d be into because of the lyricism: a milli, mrs. Officer, E.T, XO tour life remix
Lil Wayne one of the biggest artists of our generation brush I'm from Egypt and I know him he is one with biggest number of platinum singles and the 3rd artist with biggest number of hits and got 5 Grammys
EndOfTheNight Wayne is still good but he had problems with Birdman which made him lose his skill a bit and also he was trying to bring a rock to rap but D6 has shown that he is still capable.
Just subbed to your content, The reason being I like the fact that you are reacting to different types of music and not judging the songs before you hear them and truly breaking them down and looking at them from an unbiased view even if it isn't the type of music you prefer listen to. I have myself found many songs in different genres that surprised me that I ended up liking, you will too. KEEP it up!
I ducking love that you can enjoy his shit “never met the bitch but I’ll duck her like I missed her” honestly I’ve been a fan for far too long, I’d love you to go back in time and hear his real old old shit. trust me, you’re hittin it. Really give him his ducking due. I’m so happy to hear you do so :)
Wayne is probably the 1st rapper you listened to who uses heavy wordplay in his lyrics. If you liked what he did I recommend "Failure" by Lupe Fiasco. If you loved the Corey Gunz verse I recommend "Overdose" by Twista.
Eminem has a song with Lil Wayne called No love live version from SNL is up on youtube pretty great performance as well as Jayz and Em performaing Renegade on a New York rooftop during David Letterman. Great Reaction BTW
you are putting out some of the realest reactions i have ever seen on youtube! i love it. i wanna see it, and most important: i wanna understand it!... pls, keep up
Brother you are real. That's why everyone myself included gravitate to u. A new deep artist is NF...REMEMBER THIS... is a great song with deep meaning. Hes as real as it gets. Just went to a show at house o blues in Anaheim. His beats are fabulous his lyrics cut deep. He doesn't cuss at all in his raps and I get just as hyped listening to him as let's say hit em up by 2pac. WARM UP...KNOW...STATEMENT...LIE...MANSION...brother there are so many more. I really hope u get this recommendation. I dont have Instagram or Twitter. U may be the guy to finally check those platforms out. But I know u will love this kid. He from Michigan. His mom overdosed on pills and he had to take care of his sister. Hes real af. Oh yes...REAL...is another amazing song. Hes got a lil singer in him too. Sorry for the novel. I'm gonna post this a few more of your vids cause I feel you need to check him out. God bless. Keep up the great work!!!!
I'm right here with you. 35 years old, listening to this for the first time. I've listened to metal (death metal) pretty much my whole adult life, but always appreciated quality songs regardless of the genre. Eminem opened up rap for me 18 years ago, but only because of him being a singing comedian along with having genius lyrics. This is a bit harder to appreciate for me, yet good non the less. And regarding me mixing genres as of late: It's not like I've heard all metal that's out there, but there is a craving for something really fresh and well produced rap sort of fills this gap! Keep these reactions coming, I really appreciate your work. Btw, The Slim Shady LP that came before The Marshall Mathers LP is packed with great lyrics and beats. Have a great day!
Kid Rocks Polyfuze Method album, Killin Brain Cells in particular's dope. Underrated for sure, he does most of the instruments n shit. Diggin the channel sir.
“hot chicks, I’m diggin it” hahaha love it. Wayne one of the greatest easy. been in the game for a minute now. new subscriber here J. Cole - ATM, Kevin’s Heart, Apparently, False Prophets, everybody dies Architects - Downfall, C.A.N.C.E.R, Broken Cross, Doomsday, Phantom Fear
Lil Wayne is in my opinion one of the greatest rappers of all time. Hands down the best rapper out of Louisiana.
Cory Clark Soulja slim
GOAT
Facts
Big Dog "jay electronic" 😂😂😂
Cory Clark I second that!
I have to say your very intelligent for just recently listening to rap especially lil wayne a lot of his bars usually go over peoples heads
I really appreciate you words. It means more than I can express in a comment here. Thank you very much!
not really, quite easy to catch if you are listening, listen to earl sweatshirt if you wanna hear wordplay and punchlines so complex he is the best rapper out here. Check out Earl
jordan gurney 💯💯💯
jordan gurney his bars are about as elementary as they come. If a Lil Wayne bar goes over your head you are REALLY slow.
zlistcelebrity yes in your opinion, it may be a douchebag one but its yours
I really appreciate this cat, he really got a ear for music. he picks up pretty quick
Lil Wayne’s word play is second to none
Barrett Granger exactly
" real G's move in silence like lasaGna"
Huge bar
I was just writing this same line lol
Simile's are so simpleminded. " Most of the time rappers like Wayne use simile's and punchlines to make up for their lack of flow and creativeness.
Deceased like a fat mans feast? see? takes like 2 seconds
took 21 hours actually
Sadly he missed the deepest line all of rap when lil wayne said "real g's move in silence like lasagna".
Michael Padilla but in all fairness the G in lasagna isn’t completely silent it changes the pronunciation of the word
I thought the same thing I was waiting on that response
The ones that stand out to me are "if you don't understand u stand under me" "jump in a wishing well now wish me well"
Lol if that’s deep you must be used to the shallow end
YoDz coming from someone looking on the surface and not realizing it was sarcasm.
I have to be honest, I wasn't sure what to expect but I really like this dude....
Lil Wayne hands down one the greatest rappers in the books. So many classic albums, songs, videos, bars and just overall influence in generations of artists.
Dude you were born to have rap/hip-hop in ur life. U always point out 🔥BARS🔥 Please do Lil Wayne and Eminem No Love
"You can't just take one bite of something and expect to understand the flavor of everything" I like that philosophy. I'm going to remember that in my everyday life. That was a little gem.

Hip hop Legendzz wayne about to cop that $56 mill from bridman for the album, court ordered.. So wayne will be dead soon lol
Hip hop Legendzz
Cory gunz is so fking dope
I think he's STILL extremely popular, unless you're asking little kids. He's more known for controversy than music nowadays.
Remy Mafia he is popular in the sense that if you ask 100 random people from ages 12-40 if they have heard of lil wayne or know who he is, I'm sure 95 will at least have heard of him. But I don't think he is "extremely popular" for what someone of his talent should be popular for. Exactly I said the same thing the chick in the last clip at the end of the music video is so beautiful.
He’s arguably the best lyricist of all time it’s like in every song every line is just geniusly said
Lil Wayne is one of the best at saying nothing. He is a great clever, witty punchline rapper who chooses not to focus on messages or stories. However rare, when he does focus on a message he is good at that too. As you can see, there are many different types of rappers. Enjoy!

He been there done that....he was gangsta wayne to lyricist wayne back to gangsta wayne then mega star wayne then kinda just been low key good wayne
Nia R. Wayne has been rapping for 20 years. When you reach a certain point, you lose content to rap about. He’s rapped about everything. Eminem doesn’t have substance anymore either. It happens to everyone. Don’t downplay the GOAT.
Devin Williams factss
4TY 7VEN someone doesn’t know rap

EndOfTheNight Wayne never stopped being dope u just stopped listening
EndOfTheNight Wayne is still good but he had problems with Birdman which made him lose his skill a bit and also he was trying to bring a rock to rap but D6 has shown that he is still capable.
So many bars went over this man's head.
You are invited to all the black barbeques you've earned it young man.
Lil Wayne is a master of wordplay

I really like the fact that you understood the lyrics because a lot of ppl really dont understand lil Wayne word play
I know the “Reals Gs move in silence like Lasagna” line passed over his head... 😂
I like how you’re honest about the music, and not just bashing it just because it’s rap.
Do more waaaaaayne
Glad someone reacted to this 🔥🔥history in the making
