Pre-recorded guest questions came from Quentin Tarantino, Rita Ora, Simon Pegg, Will Ferrell and Mark Wahlberg, Josh Groban, Olly Murs, Katie Price, and Heston Blumenthal. The Great British Bake Off winner, Nadiya Hussain, provided the in-studio guest question. The children of Mitchell Brook Primary School acted out Jeremy Clarkson's dismissal from Top Gear. Jon Snow reported on Drake's "Hotline Bling".
Charles Dance read from List of the Lost, the debut novel by Morrissey. The mystery guest was Cecilia Bleasdale, who took a photo of a black and blue dress that appeared white and gold to some people in the photo, leading to the dress becoming an internet meme.
One of the running gags is the panelists deciding to make an alliance against Jimmy by helping Richard & Greg with getting their answers deliberately wrong. Rob even goes as far as becoming the host of the program for two minutes however the alliance breaks down after a debate about The Dress.

It's just the fact that Richard Ayoade, a man with iron composure, usually quite sophisticated humour, and generally impervious to outside jokes for the sake of staying in character, was completely broken by the phrase "Bad Dong"
Sue Perkins was originally pencilled in to appear with Greg. She was mentioned as appearing in the Christmas TV guides such as the Radio Times, but had to pull out at the 11th hour for reasons unknown and was replaced by Richard Ayoade. No disrespect to Sue, but I don't think "𝙱𝚊𝚍 𝙳𝚘𝚗𝚐" would have gone as far as it did had she been there.

Ok I didn’t know who rob brydon was before today but he’s an absolute menace and a riot and I love him. So far I love this group together, the vibe is so fun

@@rainbomgIt's another British panel show hosted by Rob Brydon. If I recall correctly, David Mitchell is a permanent panelist there, along with (or rather opposite of) Lee Mack. I highly recommend it.

Why? Different strokes for different folks I suppose, for me mildly amusing the first time it was said, but after that I found it boring, tedious, juvenile in the extreme and as funny as a circus clown.

@@Jonesnihil He only does the studio bits, and they film two episodes a day (after all the recorded tasks have been done of course), so the studio bits are wrapped in less than a week.

@@michaelpirrone If you check the actual colours in the photo, as in work out the hex codes, the colours are white and gold (slight shades of)
There's an episode of Qi where they cover this by showing a multi-colored three-dimensional cube which is partially and what is represented to be shadow but two different squares look very different colors even though they're actually the same exact shade but the illusion of light and shadow makes it look different when our brains try to interpret the information

I love this show but I the more I watch the more irritated I get by the improper format of the questions. For most of them inserting the “but” before the actual question is stupid. I love when they’re doing the famous person guest question video and they get famous people too big for the producers to insist they reread the question as written, and the famous person removes the but because it makes no sense. Would love to have heard the conversation behind the scenes early on in this show’s history where some producer shrieked “No! Every question has to have the ‘but’ even if it’s grammatically incorrect!”
I like how annoying Rob is, but at the same time.how he stands for Democratic Quizzes.
