On-board 1 of only 2 UK based Thomas Cook Boeing 757-300's, from London Gatwick down to Tenerife South, Reina Sofia airport! Not a bad flight it must be said, great sound on take off and over all a smooth flight. Not the greatest of legroom though, but one of the best plane meals i've ever had! :) This video includes all parts of the flight, from Boarding to Disembarkation! Gatwick was very busy, so we were waiting for about 25 minutes along side RWY26L before actually taking off, as you can hear the pilot explains! :)

I love this pilot, them type of pilots who give you info about how much speed your going and we're you are flying over to head to the destination!

Lived 5 years in Tenerife in a small village up in the hills from los cristianos called Chayofa .Los Gigantes is beautiful one of the best resorts ,Been to Tenerife 3 times this year and going again 25th Novemebr from Bournemouth :)

I fly to Tenerife 4 times a year and have never got over my fear of flying ,even watching this i am tremberling!!! Did fear flight course with BA 2001 helped a bit .usually have huge panic attack when taking off and run down isle to back of plabe .I am worse than a screaming baby!!

Yes, I agree that they are lovely plane food meals, we went a few days after you with Thomas cook to Cyprus. The food was lovely and the planes are quite pleasant too.

Love Thomas cook and 757, I flew with monarch to America no captain announcement and recorded safety video, I prefer it live, but never mind good video big fan of this channel
I love it when the rain on the window starts to crystallise due to the harsh temperatures up in the atmosphere :)

Did you see the Thomson First Choice Boeing 757-200 depart from London Gatwick? And the outstanding view from the window seat.
Just realised on takeoff in the fire practice aircraft they must have just finished an exercise as there is smoke rising from it. Great capture!

I just booked a trip to Tenerife on 26th of November. Finnair used to have B757s for leisure flights. They really had very little legroom, especially for me since I'm 6ft3.
They now use these Sharklet-A321s that I'll be flying on as well. Gonna be exciting :)

i just came back from tenerife south to gatwick on a norwegain 737-800 about 3 hours ago and found that it was more pleasent than the monarch a330 0n the way there

I went on a Thomson 757 last year. The sound was incredible
I went on Thomas the tank engine last year, to sound wasn't quite so impressive.

Really it depends on the resort! But weather wise it is AMAZING! I recommend Hotel Costa Los Gigantes as not only is weather nice but there is activities there that make it even better and give you life lasting memories!

Flew from Gatwick to Tenerife last week, on the airbus a321 which was a bit disappointing but a great flight nonetheless
Condor are using manchester as art of thomas cook group so you should see more of these thomas cook ones from April 2014 onwards :-D
Both 757-300's in operation with Thomas Cook UK have winglets.

Landing on tenerife means one thing. Diving in to spanish style shops and beerbath in DORADA X-D
We have 2 runways- but being so close together it's not safe to use both at the same time. During the week at night, sometimes work is needed doing on the main runway, so they open up 26R/08L for the late night inbounds- no ILS though, all approaches are visual or gps guided :-)

Without a doubt the best mid range narrow body aircraft Boeing have ever made, the 737 is just too uncomfortable and just not the same.

Checked on Flightradar, and it was cruising at 33,000 feet until over Portugal then climbed to 35,000 feet.
I like the 757-300 and that's the same one I flue to manchester on

Not to mention that the 757 became more popular after the line was discontinued becuase airlines were using them, on flights like transatlantic flights.

depends which runway you land on.
The flight was alright. Been on better airlines, but been on worse. I'm not a huge fan of the canary islands. But it was a week in the sun so it was nice.
I'm going on this plane to Cuba on the 18th September 2013 :D
