@@Frontfight In my country, if i were to eat everyday at a restaurant, 3 times a day(which would've not been possible on that expensive gym because you get only one pass per day) i would spend 1209€ per month and 40€ for my gym membership. So at most 1300€. So even if somehow you can go everyday multiple times at that restaurant, you would still pay more. Also eating at the same restaurant multiple times per day is boring. If you had that amount of money to spend, you can literally do that with less and get to choose from multiple restaurants. So no, you would not become a member because you already can do that and "save money" but like...is even less expensive to eat at home. So, what are you talking about? What kind of poor decisions do you make with your money if you truly believe that is a way to "save money" ?:))

Fair point but think of all the other stuff that is included in the gym… steam room, sauna, pool, hot and cold plunge, boxing room etc. To have all of that, especially in London is difficult because of space, and the price obviously.

I’ve been there. The gym area is freezing cold for some reason. Also has a dated feel to it.
It’s not £1600 per month for a years membership FYI. £1600 only if you sign for 1 month. I think it was £500 per month if signing up for a year but there was a large sign on fee.
For 500 per month. Complimentary massages and free PT, privacy and always able to get on machines and weights. Doesn't sound too bad if you're going 5 days a week.

Great vid, I was keen to see what you got for your money. You were very fair too, others might have tried point out or even fabricated faults for dramatic effect. That was straight up honest. In truth I even think the Gym owners will be content tgey had your dosh and a fair review.
Know something joe? I’ve been going to the gym since I was 16. I’m 21 now. At first I hated it. Now I love it. I’m overweight massively but I’m cleaning my act up a bit, quite a bit actually. You, Eddie hall, Brian shaw and brentlyg have all given me the push I need to sort myself out. Thank for these vids and I myself just love the gym. Take care.

You should visit a lifetime fitness in the USA, usually $120-250 a month (depending on location) but way more amenities. I think you’re correct, the gym you visited is for people to have proper privacy. I’m sure celebrities enjoy that.
Go there everyday and take advantage of the personal trainers! You may learn something new! Plus, you paid a lot of money so make use of it.

places like that in those areas you're not paying for the facilities themselves, you're paying for the exclusivity and atmosphere, You know its never going to be busy and if you're famous no one is ever going to bother you etc

Entertaining video, Joe! What rich people like is a clean and discreet environment, lots of white towels and cherry wood lockers in the changing rooms. They want a gym where the staff are attentive and there are no peasants shouting "Are you done on that bench mate innit?" In contrast I was briefly a member of a gym in Ilford which was crowded like the departure lounge of Heathrow Terminal 1 on a busy day. There was a hugely obese guy doing bent-over barbell rows and farting like crazy, there were pieces of chewing gum stuck to some of the machines, and someone had done a poo on the floor in the showers. Chelsea vs Ilford.

I am shocked that an average gym membership in the UK cost about 20£ monthly. Here in Italy it costs from 60 to 90€ and the gyms are not as big
This is the reason most lads in UK are very athletic, it's so cheap and available in UK, even smallest town in UK will have several gyms that are cheap and open 24/7. Big up UK for not scamming people that want to get in shape

There are countless gyms within a 6 mile radius of where i live ranging from warehouse gyms to commercial to posh david lloyd clubs. Unfortunately for me who doesnt drive i have to use the closest one which is £28, and its not amazing. Theres a gym further away that costs £15 and has EVERYTHING.

You aren't really paying for the gym, you're paying for privacy. If you're living in London, no matter how rich you are, having a home big enough to have a proper gym for yourself is unlikely. They'll just live in penthouses, which may have gyms but are probably quite busy.

Background check means checking if you've got any criminal convictions. The slightest one would def be a NO admitted.

I once worked behind a bar and one of customers who was rough around the edges was complaining that a new bar was charging double the price for a beer. He said he won't be going in there ever. I thought, job done then. Maybe, the main reason people will pay 1600 a month to go to a gym is because of exclusivity, nothing more.

At that point literally just buy your own home gym.
Bench: 100
Barbell: 100
100kg of plate weights: 300 (depending on your strength you'll need 2 or 3 of these)
2 adjustable dumbbells that go from 5 to 40kg: 560
Squat rack: 600
Cable machine up to 71kg that covers both left and right 1100
That covers most exercises you'll need for bodybuilding. In total 2760 euro (or 3360 if you need 3 sets of plate sets). I barely searched for a good price/quality. It's literally not even two months at that gym, you'll have these for more than 10 years, you don't have to travel to the gym if you put it in your garage AND you're completely alone unless you invite someone.
This gym is a scam bro, I'm surprised they are still in business, though I guess people with literally hundreds of thousands coming in per month don't care about their spendings.

The point is not how much a home gym costs exactly, it's just that this gym is a complete scam, they literally don't even offer free creatine and other supplements, even at their price.
How about the sauna, the hot and cold plunge, the space you’d need for all this shit in Chelsea (hint, more than £1600 a month).
It’s a good value if you live there or you need a place where you won’t be heckled for being famous.

Secondly is that people who live in chelsea and are able to afford 1.6k/month ON A GYM probably live in big enough apartments to be able to house the equipment already. Literally a 4x4m room would be enough.
It really isn't any good value at all in comparison to a home gym.

Big respect to UK for making gyms so cheap and available that anyone can join them. Even smallest towns will have several gyms that are cheap and open 24/7, not only that they are all very easy to get to, by walking, bike, public transport or your own. This is the reason most lads in UK very athletic and a lot of girls these days have very nice butt ;) 😊

I live in China, and I signed a two year membership at a gym that works out at a fiver a month, meaning that I could go there for 26 years for the same price as one month at this place.

There are no Gym Chains in UK. They are health-clubs / leisure centers etc. Where socializing is the main objective.
Come to Bradford and review Musclebound gym. You won't regret it.
