@@bigdtheory8783 hello. Found a black vacuum pipe at back of engine had rubbed through on aircon pipe. Small hole used epoxy to seal hole and taped over. Car 100%. Pipe was too expensive to replace here in South Africa.
As the owner of a 2013 ecoboost 125 fiesta, thankyou for documenting this problem. Mine is running fine at 108'000 miles but to gain knowledge never hurts.
Bardzo dziękuję za podpowiedż . Uszkodzenie pasuje do wszystkich aut. Ja miałem Mondeo 2.0 ECOBOOST i diagnoza trafna. Jeszcze raz DZIĘKI. Thank you very much for the hint. The damage fits all cars. I had Mondeo 2.0 ECOBOOST and the diagnosis was correct. Thanks again.
Great video like always Steve! Really enjoy your videos and documentation, I also like how you took a preventative measure and taped up the new house, so it won’t happen again. Great work buddy
THANKS FOR THE VIDEO , THAT WAS A SPOT ON DIAGNOSIS WOULD LIKE TO SEE A O2 SENSOR DIAGNOSTIC AND PIN POINT TEST . ALWAYS A PLEASURE TO LEARN SOMETHING NEW THANKS AGAIN !
What a brilliant bloke Steve, we have had exactly this trouble, EVAP pipe has rubbed through on the A/C pipe behind the back of the engine /master cylinder, would have taken a long time to find it without this video, what the guy is going to do about it i dont know, looks horrible to change...thanks for that Fred in Essex..UK.
Hi there, well this was my next door neighbours car, he put some tape around the hole and as far as i know its still like it, but you should be able to get it from your local Ford agent or a scrap yard..Fred.
If you cant get anew one, i suggest you take it off, give it a good lean wrap some sef amagamated tape around it, and some plastic tape over that, and put it back on making sure its now chafing anywhere, maybe some cabe ties, keep away from a/c
Thanks you've just found my problem for me iv checked mines exactly the same I knew it was running lean I could tell by the way it was idling.. no eml light but the same code is stored
@leewalerzak yeah im in the UK, I've found lots of similar pipes but not the exact one.. I've got the same model and year as the fiesta in the video 👌🏻
@user-gg1mo6rn2z honestly mate get one from ford just ask for the vacuum line it comes as a complete replacement about 100 quid and takes about 10 minutes fit really easy job. Also if I remember right the part numbers changed cus they changed the design to stop it rubbing so the last 2 letters of the part number will be different but it will fit worse case scenario you can return it
Think I've found that it's a fuel vapor vacuum hose part numbers C1B1-9C987-AB 9c987 might need to get it off to look at the actual part number on it but given me a head start. Cheers!
@@diesalweasel smoke machine was connected direct to the intake pipe from the air filter. Smoke machine is something i've had for around 8 years now. Autool do some that dont require compressors (mine requires a compressor)
Great video keep them coming, very clear and easy to understand,

@fredshead3956 that's a good shout, much appreciated!
Top work Steve 👍🏻
The disco was cool too 😉 Oh and I see we have a anti-smoker on board! 🙄
Nice good I found the same fault on ford fiesta thanks
Mines saying the same on ST, garage doing a smoke test on it. Hopefully it’s something silly like that and not too costly
Loving the new intro 👌🏻👍🏻
Thanks Matt

Exactly the same issue thank you! What is that hose part name?

Fantastic video!
What’s the pipe called, got the same issue, any links to the part please, I’m uk based cheers
Could this apply if my car's running rich instead of lean ?
No. This induces a lean condition
Skoda do you use your vcm or elm with the forscan ? Nice vid mate.
vcm2 annd vcmm are both used in my videos
some more vids from you Joe would be nice PLEASE :)
I with forscan elm is used but it needs the switch for can hs and can ms hope this helps
That dash is crazy looking reminds me of E.T”s head
There is a pic on the internet comparing the dash and steering wheel to roland rat !! its uncanny too ! lol
Once you see Roland there’s no going back
I have same syntoms in my car with same engine, but in a focus.
Which VCI you are using with forscan in this video?
it would be the genuine ford vci (vcmm)
@@SYDiagnostics thankyou sir
Cheers Steve, any cheap smoke machine u think is worth a look? Cheers sandy
Autool do some cheap ones with built in compressors. I hoping to test some of their gear soon
@@SYDiagnostics hi steve. Where did you have that smoke machine connected up to and where did you obtain that machine best regards

nice diag s.y , must say after seeing your vids I would never buy a Ford nothing but trouble they look really poor quality .
Ha ha..... All isolated cases. I find them more reliable than the VAG vehicles I came from
@@SYDiagnostics AGREED ford are much better than the VAG group .
