Dick Wagner is a (pardon my French) a FUCKING LEGEND. I was so honored to meet him and talk for a few minutes after his show at Lenny Miller's in 2012. Gracious, warm, genius. Your music will live on forever my friend...🎸
The "Alice Cooper show" live album, is all Dick Wagner and Steve Hunter on guitars. That was the best years of writing and shows. It cemented the foundation of Alice's career. Alice still tours to this day. I believe its all because of Dick, Alice's sobriety, and his longevity as a showman.
Alice was smart getting Dick Wagner in his band when he went solo in 1975. Wagner also played on Lou Reed's superb "live" album "Rock 'n' Roll Animal" 1974.
@@dafunk39 I am a rock bass player and when I saw Victor Wooten with Bela Fleck and the Flecktones back in the early 90's I was so blown away I stopped playing for 3-4 months. I was feeling what you expressed. Then I realized what I said to you was probably what Victor would probably say to me...I haven't stopped since and I will never be Victor Wooten, but I've gotten lots better... ;) Our heroes keep us honest and working! @@melaniejo5296 I appreciate your kind words, thank you. I’ve been a fan of Stevie Ray Vaughan ever since the first time I heard him. Saw him live with Joe Cocker, I haven’t smashed my guitars yet, so there’s hope that I won’t. 😀
@@lousolot3200 Of course Eruption is a solo. It's only Eddie Van Halen on guitar. Solo means alone, done by one person. I don't get the reason for the hostility.
Wagner's tone on this and Lou Reed live lp is insane good...my fav guitar duo

Wagner was one of Randy Rhoads favourites. Says a lot!
Fantastic guitarist
🗣 Alice has chosen the best rock musicians for this *Excellent* concert !
... Well Done 😎
Great guitar and great guy
Dick Wagner and Steve Hunter were awesome in Alice's band. My favorite guitar duo of all time.
I remember him with Dick Wagner and the Frost back in around 1969-1970. Loved his song Sweet Lady Love.
Mystery Man is a local classic.
Detroit legend !
The Frost🎸

and lou reed live, second part of same gig.
Dick Wagner's guitar playing on Alice album,. Lace and whiskey was awesome as well. Very underated album
Yikes really, one of his worst ever,
@@60zeller actually, one of his best ever
Hunter and Wagner were the best guitar tandem of the 70s.
wonderful artist really
Dick was the best!
Very underrated guitar player. Gone WAY TOO SOON!
Underrated? By whom?
He was from Saginaw Michigan.
Wagner and Hunter were the hottest duel guitar players in the country in the 70's Alice is lucky.. Lou Reed was lucky too..
Aerosmith, Kiss, were lucky too. And I wish bob ezrin had let Wagner/hunter play more guitar on Alice's solo albums, particularly, Goes to hell
@@laurencelevene4333 Lou fired them because the press was talking about how good his band was .....
@@charlesbukowski9836 . Typical Lou Reed. He had a fantastic band there. The live album was incredible. And of course Berlin. Totally underated

Just another musician that makes me want to smash all my guitars because who am I to even hold one compared to this guy?!!
I know that feeling, but he would admonish you to keep playing and be yourself! 😉

He wasn't always that good. Put the work in and get the reward.
Nice BC Rich
He liked the BC Rich Eagle a lot at that time.
His presence on Rock and roll animal inspired me to focus on guitar
My cousins were friends with him and his family

no this was not the nightmare tour
Yes, Wembley Pool Stadium, London. Welcome to My Nightmare Tour. It may be 1976 instead of '75.

It's not a solo if the drums are playing too.
