Details were probably in the book but was this a plan by ruyi spreading a ruo ghost rumor and drugging gao’s food with hallucinogens that made her gone crazy?
Gao Xiyue was indeed drugged with hallucinogens but I don't think they were in her food. I think they were in one of her incenses inside her bed chamber, which was placed by Jiang Yubin. That's why she had recurring visions of A'ruo at different hours of the day.
@@cringecat3614: I believe some prescription Gao used contained Absinthe. There was some type that was harmless but it was switched for another that caused hallucinations and insanity. Not sure who did it but somebody knew how to tamper with people's medications.
