You'd have to have 3 or 4 guys in the paint to hoard off this move, he does it so effortlessly.
So they allow 5 steps, 7 steps, 9 steps whatever right but they say it's because the player is "gathering" the ball. So in theory couldn't you have the ball passed to you and juggle it back and forth in your hands (gathering it) up the entire court without ever taking possession of it?

Can the defender get to the basket before him? Can he time the block? Can he make him work through contact? You didn´t get the idea, when he holds the ball so high, no defender can jump there to steal it while running to the basket, so it looks like a father playing against his kids, like teasing them. That´s what was about. You can go and watch how Nate Robinson (5'9'') blocked Yao (7'6''). Nobody disputes your claim.
