This Achievement in Black Ops made me lose my sanity

- In this video I attempt to get a trophy only 1 in 3.57% of all xbox players have, I need to beat Call Of Duty Black Ops' campaign on veteran difficulty & of course I racked up ALOT of deaths.
Don't judge me on the maths but I think around 1 in 8000 gamers have the trophy/achievement

WAW veteran is hell on earth. Think grenade spamming and monster closets. Heart of the Reich, the penultimate mission, is brutal.
still probably my faveroute cod campaign of em all i just remember as a kid being shocked that reznov was only in your head the whole time this was a not only a great nostalgia trip but great to watch thank you luke
MW2 holds a special place in my heart but the Black Ops 1 campaign for me is clear

As someone who had done all the Campaigns on Vet...id say World at War is the hardest as you need to keep a finger on the grenade button and have the reflexes of a god
Imo, Heart of the Reich isn’t too bad for the first part. The 2 buildings aren’t horrible and while the Flak 88’s were bad they were doable. Getting into the reichstag itself was the hardest part due to grenade spam the constant flow of enemies while you wait for Reznov to tell everyone to move up.
I haven't done every cod campaign on vet. Mainly because I'm just a busy man nowadays. But the ones I have done are Bo1/cold war. I wanna do MW2 next. But waw is on another level I tell ya. On God, I've been trying to beat waw for years at this point. I beat the bo1 campaign on vet in 2 days. Literally. I'm only missing 4 missions for waw on vet but almost all of them are the hardest ones. I tried the heart of Reich only a couple times and failed both tries. The checkpoints suck. If I ever beat waw on veteran that would honestly be my proudest achievement I've ever earned.

I did this exact achievment back in 2020 and OH MY GOODNESS THIS VIDEO IS SO REAL. I WAS STUCK ON THAT HILL IN VIETNAM FOR SO LONG THAT I GOT FLASHBACKS JUST WATCHING THIS VIDEO.

BO1 is one of my favorite games of all time, but veteran difficulty is not that difficult.
If you're capable of acknowledging that you changed the difficulty, it's easy to adapt by simply being more careful. Literally just using your brain and you're able to beat any veteran difficulty in any cod game.
Yo these videos where you have to complete a challenge with extremely slim chances are astonishing, I mean going from 30 deaths to 200 in one mission is borderline INSANE! I say its well accomplished! 🏅(Also I agree, this is the most underrated story.)
I was being an idiot on that section when I took a deep breath, slowed down and plotted my way forward shit started happening
i've recently went back to BO1 and tried veteran and my god I had so much fun re-playing the campaign again, just truly a masterpiece this game was.
the tunnel part in the U.S.D.D on veteran I found it so difficult until I found out on accident you lean into cover by holding down Q, which saved me a few near deaths situations
No such thing as leaning on xbox lol

Just a warning if you do WaW on veteran, be prepared to get blown 1000 times (and not in a good way).
Would be great to see you try to get the best ending on Black Ops 2 on veteran too if you'd be up for that.
I'll 100% do the WaW campaign at some point, i've never played the story

I have tried the game on Veteran just about halfway through and it is stupidly hard, I have beat it on hardened about 2-3 times. Just be ready to play dodgeball in this game’s veteran difficulty.

There’s a few missions where veteran gets TOXIC
After MW2 (2009) campaign I’ve always played CoD campaigns straight on Veteran, usually it’s more enjoyable for me. Outta the countless games now I can say this is one of my favourites as well as WaW but I do find this game a little more easier compared to the rest. Now if I was to return to this game (I haven’t played it since 2010-2011 when it was popular) I may have a different opinion but I just remember it being a simple yet enjoyable campaign.

That first infinite enemy spawner in the tunnel had me there for 20 minutes just scavenging guns off the floor, atleast until I ran past and finished the mission.

29:12 In case you didn’t know, This line refers to Lee Harvey Oswald, which is the person that had killed JFK. Mason’s dialogue here is basically confirmation that he did indeed work with Oswald to assassinate JFK, along with Dragovich replying “Tried?” to Mason when he said that he tried to get him to kill his own president. Also post credit scene with Mason edited into a video of JFK before his death!!!!
I had the exact same problem with the mission at 11:00 on my first time playing this 13 years ago. Was stuck for HOURS and randomly decided to make my way to the barrels and saw the option pop up. Honestly don't know why there wasn't a prompt

that mission defending Khe Sahn made me almost break my entire set up when i went for the veteran run, hated my life honestly

Ive just finished it in veteran days ago and i can agree, you cant run and sprint and lolly gag in recruit. You take your damn time and prepare your patience and test as you will get killed many times and in ways you do not expect or where they are coming from, crouching and crawling on the ground around corners with only a second to shllt before they get a high chance of killing you.
Like this took me a good amount of time to run through and going back to recruit to wrap up story base trophies, it is so easy to go through. Its a torture to finish but it is an acomplishment when you hit its end.

Tried to run it again on veteran like around half a year ago. Hardest part was by far the Khe Sah downhill battle.

BO3 on Realistic has to be, by far, the hardest campaign on CoD. Other than that though, CoD4 and WaW are even at the next hardest in my opinion. Overall, CoD campaigns aren't that hard to complete on Veteran, but there's some missions that stand out and I think CoD4 and WaW have a good chunk of them.

I could be wrong, But I think Dragovich had Kravchenko put Mason in Vorkuta so he could brainwash Mason into being a sleeper agent. I think Kravchenko is talking about the cutscene where he's on the table and Steiner is speaking with Dragovich. I can't remember if it's mentioned in the game HOW Kravchenko got Mason to Vorkuta but this is just my guess.

As someone who recently did bo1 on veterans found it a fun challenge as I was going for the achievement where you can only use pistols on Kowloon on veteran difficulty I couldn’t do I got towards the end and I had to use an assault rifle I’ll probs try it again on an easier difficulty

I finished Executive order on veteran yesterday that hellish hallway nearly made me cry and i did SOG only in a couple of tries (think I got lucky with the barrel part) I thought I had an easy ride to the end…. Rebirth island is ridiculous Im currently stuck on the tank bit and I know I have the hazmat suit part right after it 😭
I recently did it the gas isn’t too bad if you play smart the tank you need to have good precision and accuracy

I had no idea you could just hold LB in for the grenade launcher made it so much easier I was tapping it every time 😂 nearly did the gas bit first time but got crept up on in the burning house so had to go back in recruit for the no leaks achievement . Pretty hard campaign on veteran but very doable

B01 has the most hard missions in any COD by a long shot
As someone who beat the bo1 campaign on veteran difficulty in 2 days, I'd beg to differ. Bo1 definitely had frustrating parts. SOG/Executive order comes to mind, both of them were a pain in the ass but you will get through them eventually. It's really just about patience and frankly luck. But overall, world at war has been far more difficult than bo1. I've been trying to complete world at war on veteran for quite some time now and I still only have 9 missions complete till this day. And even then, most of the missions I've done aren't even the hardest in the game. World at war mops the floor with bo1 when it comes to difficulty believe me. You're gonna hate your life in world at war on veteran difficulty trust me.
I did this last year and the vietnam mission when you push the barrels down the hill is by far the worst part of this game, took me over an hour just to get past that objective. You basically get locked in an animation and you cans still take damage while enemies infinitely spawn at the bottom of the hill and can kill you in 1 hit.

A detail I didn't know until a few years ago, the numbers in the second to last mission for all the objectives do translate to something, forgot what.
HUH EXPLAIN PLEASE, another detail that I didn't realise is that before you play as reznov on project nova, the graphic flashes a skull over his face which alludes to the twist in that same second to last mission

I did veteran run a few months ago, and I stg, I had more deaths on the single walkway on vorkuta then any other campaign mission
I haven't played this campaign in years and I still remember spending hours at that infinite spawn corridor in the rocket mission. nightmare fuel
I remember beating it by not being to passive... killing a few enemies quickly then using a smoke and pushing the control room for the checkpoint... that was 10 years ago though
