Tristan chord off the bat
Reger is still considered a "minor" composer, but he was truly a master. He distilled the best elements of Baroque and Classical style to forge an unique amalgam all his own. His modulations are almost Schubertian in depth and beauty. This trio is superbly performed by the Lirico Trio. It is performances of this quality that bring out the best in Reger's chamber music. Bravo!
For all the stereotypes of Reger as a dry, academic composer, the scherzo proves he still had a sense of humor!
Наверное лучшее струнное трио , которое я слышал.
Summoning some authentic Liebeslied in that opening motif!
He is citing Tristan and Isolde in the first compass right?
👌👌👌

Plz upload the reger flute trio
Do you mean the Serenade for flute, violin, viola? There are two of those: the Op. 77a one that accompanies this string trio, and the one that accompanies Reger's string trio No. 2 (i.e. Op. 141b), which is Op. 141a. All four pieces are marvelous, in my opinion {:^} I have the two Serenades -- performed by Peter-Lukas Graf, Sandor Vegh, and Rainer Moog -- saved to the following playlist, along with the two string trios invertedninthchord has uploaded (plus a couple alternate performances): ruclips.net/p/PLWej7VoChmBaitKb2cM1A2tzpoxaYG0wC
