Race: Altmer/High Elf
Standing Stone - The Atronach Stone
Main Skills - Destruction, Restoration, Alteration, Conjuration, Illusion, Enchanting, Alchemy
End Game Level - 78
Stats - All mage skills at 100, some legendary Investments to certain skills for perk points,
MAGICKA 690, HEALTH 350, STAMINA 200
Enchantment Buffs - Destruction Spell Cast Reduction 28%x3, Restoration Spell Cast Reduction 28%, Increase Frost Resistance 52%, Increase Shock Resistance 52%, Increase Magicka Points by 70, Increased Carrying Capacity by 42 points, Conjuration Spells Cast Reduction 28%, Magicka Regen 70% Faster, 15% Spell Cast Reduction to all Spells, +50 Magicka Points, Magicka Regenerates 100% Faster.
Minor Buffs - Agent of Mara
I have not Included any DLC Buffs, Items or Spells in this build, I will update this build in the future - This build is mainly for the base game of Skyrim.

I remember when I played a pure mage it was similar as yet a bit deviating from your playstyle: I hotkeyed my spells but mostly used 1 spell of every school:
1. Slow Time shout for extra buildup time.
2. Ebony Flesh and Cloak spell on self.
3. Frenzy on the mob.
4. Letting the Dremora Boys out to play.
5. Fire away from afar with whatever I'd prefer.
6. Having Close Wounds on speed dial for in case things went south.
7. Everything that died got resurrected with Ritual Stone/Aetherial Crown for the ultimate carnation.
And like you my character too did not wear armor.
This was very much doable on Legendary difficulty.
Why do people say Mages are weak endgame compared to Warrior or Stealth Archer. This looks both fun to play and OP AF 🧙♂️
really cool build!
i have some extra tips for pure mage builds if you wanna hear them:
- if your not using the unofficial skyrim patch, being a vampire with the necromage perk basically turns you into sueprman. fudgemuppet made a video on this combo, and they can generally explain it better than i can, but in general being a vampire with necromage makes spells on YOU more effective, and that has both positive and negative implications
- you really only need dual casting for destruction and illusion and maybe restoration, as those actually effect the effectiveness of the spells rather than simply affecting the duration like alteration and conjuration
- ILLUSION IS BUSTED. getting dual casting, being a vampire and having most of the perks will allow you to affect like 95% of the game, which is super powerful
Thanks! I do know of the benefits of being a vampire with the necromage perk but I must have forgotten to put It In this build. I will try to work the perk and being a vampire in a future build 🙂
I always play a wizard when I replay skyrim, I love the gameplay
Why you don't use expert spell (incinerate)
I didn’t use Incinerate because of personal preference, I feel like Fireball does more damage and has an AOE
@@FOES-YT Ok personnaly I prefere I use fireball for long distance, group mob and recluse mob behind a rock 😅
I use more lightning spell because of "unlimited power" 🤣🤣

nice video but can u do a guide on enchanting? i just started playing but i see a lot of videos talking about how much enchanting is important to a mage and i just can't seem to understand how that shit works. it would be really nice.
I’ll try to Incorporate showing off when I’m enchanting equipment In my future builds.
It’s easier than It looks to enchant stuff🙂
Although not easy leveling it up fast, compared to alchemy and smithing.

What difficulty do u play on , I play on expert and find it nearly impossible to not get 1 shot unless I have major health buffs
I play on Adept difficulty :)

Is Dark Elf a good race for a pure mage build?
In the end any race can become a pure mage, It’s only the early game where your race matters.
To answer your question tho Dark Elf would be good to go with because they have +10 In Destruction to start with so you do more damage with your spells🙂

But why not using the Slow Time shout? You're a mage, you can manipulate everything now, even time itself.
Thanks. Well I don’t really remember why I didn’t use that shout as this video was made quite awhile ago but perhaps I can one day re-create this build with the shout you mentioned :)

I just got done upgrading my smithing to 90 instead of alchemy. I made dradric amor and put enchantments on it so u think I should use the arch mage outfit or the daedric one?
If you want to role play as a tradition wizard/mage character you should use robes however If not then there’s no stopping you from being a tanky mage In heavy armor, It’s all player choice and preferences :)

It’s on Normal (Adept) difficulty but can be played on higher difficulty If you choose to
How long did it take to finish this build💀
I don’t remember how long It took to finish that build because It was so long ago, probably about 3 weeks because I rushed the process of levelling up my skills and getting the best equipment for the build so I can create the video quicker. However you don’t need to rush any of my builds - they’re meant to be played through the game normally, gradually getting the build to Its final stage :)
