A very underrated feature which was a must have for most simmers since the days of FSX is (Proper) G-Force and headshake effects, a tool like EZDOK for P3D and others available for X-Plane. The level of immersion they provide is like night and day, yet, after more than 3 years since the release of MSFS, its SDK still does not support those! Other top priorities that MSFS 2024 needs to get right are the flight and ground physics, REVAMPED controller mapping system and Camera system, and faster loading time. And yes, working wipers would be great too!

My wish list: Better weather system with clouds which are more than nice pictures. Better simulation of thermals for glider pilots. A system for saving and reloading flights. Better water and coastlines. Ships! Trains! My dream: AI controlled ATC with voice recognition. Like ACE by Nvidia. That would be so cool and a good training for real life hobby pilots like myself. If AI ATC is not possible a complete overhaul of the ATC would be nice. And one last wish: Usable VFR maps!
And no black screens, no crashes to desktop etc? It would be much better as Asobo would invest first in a proper MSFS 2020 before developping a new version. But, nevertheless, it is fine to have MSFS though it is sometimes frustrating in use.
Proper WX Radar, Wind Shear Alerts, Wake Turbulence, Cockpit Panel Shadows that don’t dance around, functionality with all RealSimGear hardware, the ability/option to run the sim disconnected from the internet so it can be used in BATD’s at Flight schools.

Reading these comments my take away is everything needs doing 😂. You think they’re gonna fix everything 😂 they will do a few things then re use everything else from 2020. It’s becoming a joke in the flightsim community. They need to separate the XBOX version from the PC conversion. Give the PC users the Simulator experience they promised.

All well and good to have "pretties" such as animals and ground stuff. But it is pointless when they can't get the fundamentals right. ATC needs a massive overhaul. Actually doing vectoring when they say "expect vectors" would be a start. And try flying Dunedin to Queenstown in NZ. ATC will give you CONSTANT level changes when you are over the mountains, about half of which will put you into terrain. Fix it please.
You missed one of the BIGGEST, GLARING flaws in the game for anyone who isn't hardcore enough to want to dive into VATSIM. They need an entire team to blow up the entire ATC system and redesign it from square one. It is problematic when a person can pay a substantial amount of money (including suckers like me who paid for the top tier), and the ATC is a downgrade from the previous iteration of the sim from 2006.

Number one on my list for msfs 2024 is an easy straight forward download and install process! The convoluted trash process that is msfs 2020 prevented me from playing despite my super fast internet and pc!
I want Autopilot to perform much better, especially for approach and landing. I want internal cameras, especially in the cabin areas. I'm one of those guys that uses MSFS more leisurely than as a pilot. No offense to those who are pilots. I'm glad that MSFS allows for multiple use, instead of being restrictive.
With all due respect, give them some slack. There are things computers can do in 2024 that couldn’t be done in 2020. If 1.5 yrs in computers is equivalent to a human generation, then 2020 was like 65 years ago! I think the things not living up to hype in 2020 will be met head on with success in 2024.

this seems totally ridiculous to me. flight sim 2020 still has so many bugs and issues as to be almost unplayable. i recently got into it and discovered that ILS approaches dont even work at many airports and with certain planes. imagine that. a flight sim thats been out for 4 years and you cant even land the plane. and they're talking about animals. as far as actual features i agree with everyone talking about the weather. im an amateur meteorologist, have a very strong interest and a lot of knowledge about it. I couldnt believe it when i realized that the game has fully customizable weather settings including differing wind speeds at different heights. Yet when using live weather mode, you cant actually see any of that information. You're basically just hoping for the best when you fly. its totally ridiculous. i imagine no real pilot would ever fly without having an intimate understanding of the current and expected weather to a very detailed degree.
They need to optionally "insulate" all autopilot models from the user. The autopilots are complicated and clunky. The pilot should have an optional pop-up "window" where everything is simplified much like "Flow" did. Let the insulated window commands change the autopilot. This is far superior to the failed "camera" approach that they used. It is just not practical. They also need the full functions of the Toolbar to work in VR, and in all three modes. Also, all functions of the World Map should work from the toolbar without having to go back through the Main Menu. Also a simple " index" directly to all "bespoke" airports and POI's ONLY would be nice. Even a separate world map which features them only that works from the Toolbar and in Drone Mode. Click, click, click. Let's fix what's there first.
I won't be in a rush to buy 2024. I want to wait until they get the bugs worked out, and there will be bugs. There always are. As to the new features, I am skeptical that some of these probably could have been added to 2020. So, why were they not added? Another issue has been mentioned already on these comments here and that is ground handling. I have also been disappointed with the failure to properly address the AI aircraft and traffic issues. We will see if any of this is improved with 2024.
Better control mapping, cloud turbulence, better glide slope physics, ground traffic improvements, more robust training modules, more realistic ATC communication (I know AI is coming).
The teaching and seasons are a big deal for me. I mean the basics are just that. Then you're just left to your own devices. And the seasons I thought should be a given. Especially if we can implement, "live weather". So, hoping 2024 really does hit it out the park. Just like 2020 did. But, further. 🤞🏾
Better multiplayer and shared cockpit environment, basic crash physics would be nice also - to be careful on multiplayer servers (maybe as an option to toggle on / off for different multiplayer servers)
Simpler camera system e.g. bring back fly by and tower views without relying on the crone camera, ATC that does not go silent on you 30 mins into the flight or vector you into terrain on the approach.
I think you also need proper weather radar support and competent ATC that won't fly you into the ground, actually gives you the vectors they say they will, and don't just use US units/systems even when you set your sim to not use US units
@@FinlandGuy747 I know about ft and nm, and I do use VATSIM What I mean is using hectopascals. Things like the weather can be set to use hPa, but the atc won't. This is a bit more minor compared to the other atc issues. And VATSIM isn't always online where I want, and what I just want is a built in atc, I can use buttons and not need to type out a lot, for simple short flights. One that hopefully doesn't fly me intro the ground, or give me 20 different altitudes. I was hoping beyond atc would, but it is just too expensive for me. There is another add on ik of, but I haven't looked into it. And what about console players?
Hehe animals wasn't at the top of my list. The overwhelming problem with the sim is the flight model, not necessarily the physics accuracy but the sluggish latency problem irrespective of frame rate. It was immediately clear on day one that it was terrible to the point of being unplayable. It's such a monumental failure and I was so disappointed that I only played the clunky game for 2 hours and didn't touch it for months. Never mind the ridiculous 100GB install which isn't necessary at all if only they did a download on demand like google earth does. So incompetent. But the unforgiveable problem is the latency. The responsiveness of the sim is the number one priority, nothing comes close and they completely fugged it up. It's not as big a failure as pissrael but it's right upthere.
Microsoft Flight Simulator X (2006) might be a better option for you and your laptop, it works fine with old hardware, and equally, is a small download and install.
The most important thing they need to get right for me is X-Plane like aerodynamics. A ARM version of the game would be nice to, so it can be played on a mac via parallels or even a MacOS natuve version but I guess they will never do that 🥲

The long load time to start the sim is a huge problem. There are days when I skip using it because I don't want to wait 5 minutes for it to start.....

172 doesnt even need right rudder to stay coordinated, the aerodynamics could use a lot of work.
not true. it does need a lot of rudder input. at least in the runway else it starts drifting to the left as expected

I’d like to see the ability for 3rd party developers to add weather radar. PMDG 737 weather radar is currently “inop”.
