9/10 Brilliant video. The quiz really helps with learning the VCP setup. Many thanks for all the excellent work you have put into this - very much appreciated.
More of this... Brilliant. 9/10 learnt more in 3 days watching your vids than 6 months reading volumes of books and watching other videos claiming to be the best and utter nonsense. Another week and I will be putting my skills to the test. Brilliant!!!!!
I got 8/10. Brilliant content JC! I really enjoy the "repeatedness" of your content, I really do as it's the best to learn and master these concepts into your brain. Perhaps you could do these quizzes more often? As a monthly series or something, that would be great! Just an idea to engage more viewers. Keep it up mate with the excellent work!
TME - Volume over the structure seemed much choppier (no real decreasing "look" from left to right), and no RS dot. Was low volume before b.o. Perhaps this is more important than RS dot? Relative to the prior examples, I found this one marginal at best. (Just my observations). Thks! Excellent way to present the information!
Cool vid, thanks mate! One take away I got from this is, even if a person didnt get 10/10, but did have very high conviction about the ones they did nail, then that speaks volumes [excuse the pun]. And I will certainly be adding your RS to my screen. Very helpful tool that.
8/10. Incredible way to teach VCP concept. Just found your channel this week. It is absolutely very great channel. Thanks a lot for providing all the videos. They are all very helpful.
Well son of a gun, I learned something today! I've got two of Mark's books and didn't have a good understanding of the VCP. Now I believe that I do. Thank you!
I got 9/10. I repeatedly went thru your videos to study the VCP. Thank you for your excellent way of teaching. Hope to have more of these charts quiz often as possible. Thank you once again.
Thank you very much for your support. There is a Minervini playlist on my channel with more videos on this topic. Hope that helps and please subscribe if you can as I publish several videos a week.
okay... 6/10. But only one wrong would have hit my SL where I though its a setup but it was not. Among other wrongs, I would have missed the opportunities, so no loss of money. thanks for the great work on these quiz questions
8/10 for me. I was incorrect on numbers 2 and 9. 9 was a tricky one as the breakout came back and retested and then did nothing exceptional for a number of weeks more. The much clearer breakout point came closer to August
8 out of 10 because of the lower lows in RSI and 9 Because of the high volume day prior although I would have taken the pullback And more like this Jack :)
7/10 - enjoyed it. Got the 5th wrong due to low volume. 6th wrong due to higher supply volume and RS not on 52 weeks high. Also got the 9th wrong - supply volume just a day before breakout was above the average volume.
Excellent trading to especially for self analysis and education.. thank you so much... more test please... 7/10, unsure on 3 and made the wrong choice, but learned where I went wrong. thanks again
Great vid... really appreciate the education format by including a workthrough quiz. 8/10 for me. earned a sub.. going through your channel for the rest of the weekend ...cheers
Hi. This is my first time learning VCP. You mentioned about the `wave' analogy several times. I find this to be very surprising because I typically trade based on Elliott `Wave.' So here we have two different techniques that use the same analogy called `wave. '
@@JackCorsellis Yes. I well understand that it has nothing to do with Elliot Wave. Still I find it surprising two different techniques perceive price movement as waves. Interestingly enough, though, I did try to use Elliot Waves to answer your questions. Many - but not all - were correct .
I got 9/10... Very good content. Thanks for sharing What can we use as an alternative if the relative strength indicator is not applicable for the markets we trade? (not US stocks)
@@JackCorsellis the Volume on breakout in some of the cases was not that great...still the trade was a blast.. is it safe to go all-in in such cases where big candle with big volume is not noted?
Nice video and nice different approach with the test charts. I have one question. Where do yo buy the stock? With a stop order just above consolidation? Just above the previous high? or the day after the breakout? Thanks.
what happen if the chart im look at, has a very high fake out at the right side pivot point ( $5.56 with a long shadow on top ) , then it starts forming a VCP ( 3 HL now ) with a solid pivot point of ( $4) , should i move the pivot point to $5.56 or use the $4 point ??? the stock is SENS as of today
I have a 7, Question: Do you trade AFTER the breakout day or ON the breakout day. From MM, it seemed that he trade ON the breakout. Whereas the video here is that you will take a position AFTER the breakout?
Hi Jack.. Love the video but for whatever reason your RS line is coming up with an error in tradingview and is showing in the upper quadrant with price and doesn't display anything any longer. Can you provide some additional insight into what I may be doing wrong?
Difficult to say without seeing it. However, remove and re-add and make ensure that it is in its own pane within TradingView ie not in same one as price. Also, check what version of TradingView plan you have as perhaps you have hit your indicator limit
Jack thank you for the quick reply and moving it into the lower pane worked great! I really appreciate your help with this. Love the VCP videos!!! Well done!
hi Jack, thanks so much for the VCP guide and education on this topic. I tried this VCP pattern on stock HVT which recently had a high volume breakout on June 7th' 21, and new RS high and it followed quite a good VCP pattern, yet the stock fell after new high and declined over a few days consecutively. Could you enlighten what could i have gone wrong in my analysis ? many thanks !
@@JackCorsellis it fails ... MVT has now declined more than 10+% since the breakout from a VCP pattern and might even go lower... wonder i can do to avoid such stock in my trading..it has shaken off my confidence in VCP trades.. thanks.
1. I noticed that in all your videos u use the daily chart. Will this be effective on the weekly chart as well? 2. If the breakout candle has a 10% or more gain, can entry still be taken? I am unable to track markets during working hours hence all decisions will be after market hours.
1. I use multiple timeframes when analysing at stocks, but the daily chart is my 'execution timeframe'. Look for the patterns on the weekly and decide for yourself. Initial risk is usually increases the higher timeframe you go is something to think about. 2. For me that would be very extended.
