-the Emperor tells you that a regional lord was killed in battle and now haunts his former kingdom crying out for vengeance, and you have to exercise his spirit
-you have a dream where a goddess tells you "fear not, I am watchful" and then a shirtless elf wakes you up like "Why are you screaming? Wake up!"
-you're in jail and the Emperor shows up like "yeah I gotta use the escape hatch in your cell cause the devil wants to kill me"

@leXie_Concussion Nope, if you watch the VOD there is no music.
@KingNedya You actually can hear some notes of the music in the VOD if you pay really close attention, they're just really quiet and mostly covered up by their talking and laughing. My guess is that the microphones just didn't really pick up the music and he added it back for the edited video. They have a pretty professional setup, so it would make sense if the microphones are set up to really minimize background noise and just capture their voices.
@Peter_Lewis You can also set up multiple audio tracks in OBS so that a music track that _is_ playing live doesn't get recorded and sent to the VOD.
A lot of Twitch streamers do that so they can play copyrighted music but avoid getting DMCA flags when bots scrape their VODs and clips.
@Blutzen I mean, that can't really help with audio that is physically playing out loud (and not just in headphones), because microphones pick up the actual sound waves of your physical environment. If you're playing music loudly, the microphone is still going to pick that up regardless of how you set up your OBS.
That said, you can tweak things like the microphone gain in order to minimize distant/quieter sounds, and there's also fairly effective AI noise removal software that can remove background noises.

Bethesda added it in the translated versions, but they somehow forgot to put it in the English version. Or removed it but forgot to take it out of the translations. Either way, that line was at one point added by the devs.

See I stealth hit the torturer to get to 100 stealth
You can stealth behind them and attack over and over to get 1 handed, 2 handed, stealth, block, and destruction to 100 I think
@bobbobert9379 yep, and the tutorial can also give you some extra Maxed skills under special circumstances:
If you're Extremely lucky: Archery, it's a random chance to recover your arrows (you can also try and farm arrows from archers, this isn't recommended)
If you're Bosmer: Conjuration, though you need to keep an enemy alive for it to attack.
If you don't kill your "friends":
Pickpocket, the Imperials/Stormcloaks can be farmed for xp
And if you're Altmer:
Illusion, you have Fury which definitely doesn't also give you
Light Armour
Heavy Armour
And Restoration
All for just staying under lvl7 and upsetting your companion.
Only Alchemy, Alteration, Enchanting, Smithing, Speech, and Lockpicking are 100% impossible to max out before leaving the cave. Though we can effectively add Archery and Conjuration to the list as the former is dependent on save states and the latter is mutually exclusive with Fury.

No better way to balance something that's otherwise extremely abusable lol. At the very least, I think some of the magic schools can be restricted to combat only xp (Casting destruction to do damage, Conjuration summons doing damage, Alteration defensive spells reducing damage, Restoration spells only giving xp when it actually heals damage taken, etc.) Illusion is the weird one as far as schools of magic is considered lol

Should have tied player Action Points to their Stamina, to give stamina a powerful reason to be selected.
Then you'd run into the fallout 1+2 problem, where agility was related to your ap so everyone had to have tons of it. If your character has twice the action points they're twice the character in most cases
@DwurogowyI suppose it would depend on how it scales, and I could argue that a character that specializes in more action points does so with the penalty of being easier to kill with fewer hit points and having less mana for spells.
@SolemnlySquid Except, without stuff like opportunity attacks, you'll end up with stamina being easily used to disengage beyond enemy attack range and hide behind other, slower players. Or better yet, just outright overwhelming the enemy with too many attacks, best defence being a good offense. In Fallout 1&2 it was similarly an issue because Agility also gave you higher AC.
@DawidKovother popular systems like D&D have methods to avoid opportunity attacks and offer classes like Monk and Barbarian that can outrun their allies. Additionally, referencing Fallout 1&2 scaling defence on agility has no bearing here on a game modeled after Skyrim with stamina not agility, and defense being based on armor.
@SolemnlySquid those systems also have limited actions rather than a scaling Action Points system, so you really need to hyper-specialise your character or team to break their action economy without punishment.
In a system like this one, those checks simply don't exist. You don't even need to spend AP to disengage, so you just need to reserve enough to run, then whale on your opponents with as many actions as you can, which will scale Very quickly compared to other characters. This gets worse when you realise that stealth archery both is the most effective play style in the game after like lvl2, and also scales entirely off of Stamina and AP (how many arrows/backstabs you can deliver per turn and how many Hide actions you can take).
Essentially, Skyrim really just isn't built for handling what is essentially equivalent to animation cancelling based on any of its stats.
Also, their reference to Fallout 1&2's scaling def was to draw a parallel to the ability to use AP to get in and out of range without penalty.

TES lore has an inbuilt "Multiple canons existing at once" panic button called a Dragon Break that you can hit whenever you want to explain two plot points that clash. If you want five Dragonborn at once, just hit the Dragon Break button.

amnesia bear should have its own lore created.
We actually did this in highschool. Like we made our own ruleset for the game and modified the story a bit. Instead of dragonborn we were triplets. Theif, Mage, Warrior. We each took 1/3rd of the dragon soul which allowed our niche skills to get really powerful. Our fighter was an unarmed heavy armor user who broke the game cause we used alot of percentages and he would sock people into the stratosphere our assasin turned vampire lord was all the scariness you can think of. I played an artificer mage who recreated dwarrven Dynamo creation and built my own mini army i could prtal around the battlefield portal style. We also tamed the frost troll as in we kept beating on it till it gave up and we trained him. His name was Groglathor.
That's actually a really unique idea for making the dragon born thing work.

Honestly Skyrim makes more sense if the protagonist was actually a party of people. That would explain how they could theoretically hold positions of authority in so many different guilds and be thane of multiple holds.

My head cannon for the lore is that the dragonborn only does the main story and the dragonborn dlc story. Everything else in lore (including dawnguard) are other people, tou just do it in game for gameplay reasons
@sirlothric6357 yea that’s typically how Bethesda does their cannon is that the only thing the player character is known to have done is the main quest + dlcs, and any guilds or side stuff could or could’ve not been them also depending on your roleplay

The premise of this is pretty funny, because my sister did almost the same thing. She built a ground-up system for TES and ran a Skyrim-based campaign, complete with random selection of which player was Dragonborn. Her group has been using and playing her TES RPG system off and on for about 10 years now.

This is one of my favorite one shots to run for players. Everyone has seen or played skyrim atleast once and has seen the intro memed.
It figures that the legendary Dragonborn would be the player who's just walking around and shitting on everything.

And it already has a tabletop game with a lot of similarities to origins mechanics
Me and a few buddies are already doing this! Where we all play a different origins, though we rolled on who was the Hero of Fereldan. There was even a surprise visit from Garrett Hawke, who was a part of the Fereldan army, so it would be a frantic rush back to Lothering when Ostagar happens!
We even have where there is a future timeline post Inquisition where Tabris, Surana and Lavellan teams up for a Shadow Dragon mission after working with Fenris, trying to hunt down the missing family of Tabris that was kidnapped in Denerim.
