- Use landmarks to find the appropriate locations for IM injections, understand the types of injections you may give and the needle types, and then watch an actual IM injection.

I am entering my last year of the Practical Nursing program in 2 weeks. I have been watching your videos to prepare. I am pumped to start working as a nurse 🙂.
We hope you have a great final year of school and thank you for watching our videos!
😆😅😂🤣🤣 "did you bring your tickets"😳"what tickets"🧐...to the gun show.....🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣that was a good one! i forgot about the injection....i want to get tickets to the "gun showwww" instead!!! 🙈🙉🙊
Very enlightening explanation, excellent professional. Many people in my country still follow the old school of aspire...But I never aspired myself
Watching your nclex simple nursing i have cleared my nclex. Now watching your procedural video for my Osce.. Hoping to clear soon
...
Very clear.. very good demostration 😇
good video...thank you
great video!
Well-done
Very nice
Perfect
I'm wondering, if you inject without aspirating first, is there any damage you can cause? The needle being for IM injection, the most than can happen after my logic is to hit a capillary.
I liked it alot
Good day, i have a few questions. Is it okay that half of the needle of 3cc syringe will be injected? Will it still be effective? Thank you.
Who else is here for Steorid injections 👀
Just started TRT, I want to make sure a don’t mess up.
😂💪
@@petrecata2539 yeah buddy, light weight! Starting my 2nd week I started feeling great, I recommend it to all my friends and coworkers over 40.
@@1mropz1 sorry mate, my reply was for @CONNOR HAMLETT, because of his coment, haha, anyway good luck with your trt 💪
I'm here for exactly that 😂
Thank u dr
how is aspirating harmful
I got a vaccine Wednesday afternoon .It was the most painful I have ever had.She put the needle in slightly then she jammed it deeper. My arm ,shoulde,r up my neck into the shoulder blade hurt so bad with burning and shock pain. Then she injected the vaccine so fast it burned even more. I am wondering if she went too deep and hit a nerve. I have never had pain with a shot ever before. They always feel like a little pin prick to me. It is 2 days later and still hurting in the same areas.
Definitely hit a nerve. I've been self-injecting testosterone for some years now and I have hit the nerve you're speaking of a handful of times. No real damage to worry about most the time, but I agree it's not fun at all when it happens.
everything is ok, but last end did not aspirate the syringe why?
👌👌
so the vaccines are administered IM???not Subcutaneous?!
What about z-track?
Mr. Z died yesterday. RIP Zed !
The z-track is not a common method, but can be used when administering IM injections to prevent drug leakage.
You guys are great, but it would have been so much better if you have had an actual person with the proper attire for instructional purposes. Nevertheless, thank you for the video!!
Thank you for watching our video! We have received your feedback.
you reversed the gauge of the pink (20g) and green (18g)
Dude, those were THICK needles! Most people on trt use 25 gauge 1.5 inch needles. IM with an 18 gauge???? WOW. Usually an 18 gauge is only to draw from a vial, then swap it out for injection.
May depend on the viscosity of what you're injecting.
I slowly insert the whole needle then I release the solution. Is it correct 😃
Been looking for this answer in RUclips videos tonight.
PLEASE PLEASE CAN YOU PLEASE TELL ME WHAT LAW SAYS U FONT HAVE TO ASPIRATE AT IM INJECTION?I HAD A CLUE WITH MY BOSS SAYING THAT THEY SAID I.M CRAZY🥲
Always. With bell.morngs.alices 100th birthday
Someone gave me a covid injection into a blood vessel. I had anaphylaxis and huge bleed in my arm.
1 hand should always be in contact with the patient throughout the injection
I liked your gun show joke bro, even if she didn't lol
It's good to have a sense of humor in healthcare!
We dont use the dorsgluteal anymore thats just false

Don't we need to draw back... To assure
If it is not important to draw syringe back to check for blood than you wont know if you are in the blood stream. Thus,Basically its ok to inject into arteries and blood vessels.
Aspiration before IM injections is not recommended if no large blood vessels are present in injection site, such as the deltoid muscle used in this video.
@@nursingandnclexmasteryI just recently had it happen to me.
LOL, I haven't had any kind of shot in nearly 30 years. My wife is riding my ass about it, so I'm probably going to get a tetanus booster next doctor visit. And I am dreading it. It's been so long, I almost forgot what a shot feels like. I've been told our nurse is super good with shots, so maybe she won't kill me.
did u get the shot? lol
@@sergiocartagena74 Yes, and would you know I didn't feel a thing. Literally, all I felt was the girl pinching up the flesh on my arm where she was about to jab me, and nothing. No sting, no burn, not so much as a pinprick. Those needles must be so damn sharp that they penetrate the muscle like it's hot butter. I was barely sore the next day and that's all.
and you don t aspirate?!?!
You put the whole needle in
Yes, the needle needs to go in all the way.
R u mental pink canula is 20G
Nie wolno robić iniekcji na stojąco 😠 Pacjent powinien siedzieć lub leżeć
There's actually a great muscle, but we're not going to show you clearly but most people can just guess for themselves. Oh my God that's the whole point of watching this video and you didn't show it clearly
Gluteus medius?
She was not smooth at all looked like she stabbed you
How else is she going to administer it? It's a needle, and you puncture through with it.
Meowww it looked like she stabbed him you can be a bit smoother and gentle even when giving an “injection” jackazz!!
@@RR-lv6xs I see what you’re saying, it does look kind of quickly inserted. However, it is best to puncture it fast because if you do it too slow it hurts more. This is why people who have been stabbed or shot don’t feel it right away because it is too fast for the nerves to react. Hope that helps!
It hurts more to inject the needle slowly.
Aspirate aspirate aspirate, especially on athletic patients. Especially with RNA vaccine.
You did not cover anything about possible air bubbles, r cleaning the top of the bottle of medicine, this was a very poor demonstration.
She already had the syringe ready, so it was passed the cleaning of the bottle, needle, bubbles, etc.
This woman gives a bad vibe. I don’t know. Maybe it is just me. 🤷🏻♂️
Your generosity towards my Genital Herpes is incomparable, you assured me of getting healed just within 3 weeks and it was so. Thanks a lot Dr Igudia. I will keep letting the world know about your good work and about your RUclips channel.
