I'm a 4th year math major at gsu and I love the freedom of an open campus :) I hope you're having a great time here! 💖
I don’t think I’ve ever seen someone comment that they are a math major! Is it challenging? because I’m considering minoring in it.
@@dxleted_arii6470 Some of the 4000-level classes are indeed quite challenging (I'm taking analysis 1 this semester, a class infamous for having horror stories drifting around about it .)
The requirements for a math minor at GSU are calc 1, 2, multivariate calculus (math 2211, 2212, and 2215), and 9 credit hours of level 3000 or level 4000 math classes ideally useful for your major. If none of that intimidates you too much, then I'd go for it!
Just beware that a lot of 3000-4000's have math 3000 as a prereq, which is a massive pain for anyone who isn't decent at proofing
